Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A tee shot favouring the left side will miss the lone fairway bunker on the right hand side and will leave a mid to short iron to a well-protected green.
On The Green
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee A relatively short par 3, but be sure to take half a club more. Any shot missing the plateau green leaves a difficult ‘up and down.

Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee An aggressive line off the tee will be down the left hand side leaving you a shorter shot but be aware anything too far left will enter the rough and leave an extremely difficult approach.

Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee This is a tricky par 3 that is well guarded by 7 bunkers. A tee shot just carrying the bunker short (middle) is likely to filter down to the green.

Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee This is the toughest hole on the course for the men. A long par 4 (par 5 and S.I. 18 for the ladies) that should be treated with respect. There are numerous bunkers and out of bounds on both sides waiting to catch you.

Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee A testing par 5. The goal off the tee shot is to avoid the water on the right hand side and the out of bounds on the left. Only the longest hitters will have the option to go for the green in two.

Hole Name
From The Tee An innocuous-looking par 4 that requires accuracy rather than length of the tee.

Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway The tee shot requires length and accuracy if you are looking for a par. Avoiding the bunker and trees down the right hand side is a necessity. Once you have found the fairway a long 2nd shot will be required to a green well protected by bunkers.
On The Green
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway The shortest par 4 on the course. Accuracy is paramount to avoid the two well placed bunkers on the right side. A good drive in the fairway will leave a short approach in, a good birdie opportunity.
On The Green
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee A well bunkered par 3 with a McKenzie green that often plays longer than it looks. Even when finding the green you can be left with a tricky 2 putt.

From The Tee A tough tee shot where you need to avoid the left hand bunkers and ditch running beyond them.

Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee Accuracy is paramount for what many consider the signature hole. With Out of Bounds to the right of the trees, and the clubhouse on the left the tee shot is the tightest and toughest on the course.

Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee The course’s only blind tee shot which, if hit over the marker post towards the church, leaves you in good shape. Avoiding the fairway bunker on the right and the bunker just left of the centre of the fairway, will leave you a mid-iron into a green protected by mounds, a right greenside bunker and hollows.

Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee This is a truly great par 3. Considered by Henry Cotton to be the best short hole in Lancashire, it usually plays into the prevailing wind. A long iron, hybrid or wood is required to find the surface on an extremely well bunkered green. Avoiding the road on the right is a must. Three is a great score.

Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee A tee shot through the avenue of trees and dunes will find a rather large landing area, and depending on distance will leave you the option to attack the well-guarded narrow green in two.
