Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee An opening par 5 that’s straight away. The hole has 4 strategically placed bunkers with the first narrowing the driving landing area.
From The Fairway The second shot must be played left of the deep bunker guarding the right side of the fairway. This leaves a short approach shot to a green that tilts front to back and right to left. A deep bunker protects the front right of the green.
On The Green
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee A seemingly simple par 3. Plays down hill with 2 well placed bunkers,
From The Fairway
On The Green one guarding the right side of the green and the other placed directly in front of the green. Do not miss this green long or left as a lateral hazard looms near.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee The first in a stretch of 5 holes where par is a great score.
From The Fairway With lateral hazard to the right and out of bounds to the left, the third hole bends gently to the right as it slopes down hill to the right. A generous landing area on top of the slope narrows greatly if you challenge this hole and try to get it farther down the fairway.
On The Green The green is small and slopes from front to back and is guarded by a bunker to the right.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee A medium length par 4 that doglegs to the left and slightly up hill on the second shot.
From The Fairway
On The Green With trees overhanging on the left and out of bounds to the left you must favor the right side. A lateral hazard runs the entire length of the hole on the right side. The approach shot is up hill to a green protected in front by a deep bunker. Green slopes from back to front.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee The toughest par 3 on the course. Although this hole plays down hill the length more than makes up for it.
From The Fairway
On The Green The green is small and slopes from front to back and is protected by a bunker on the left. A lateral hazard is to the right and behind this green. Easy chip from short of green.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee A fairly straight forward par 4. The tee shot is blind up hill to a very generous landing area but beware of
From The Fairway the fairway bunker left. A lateral hazard runs the entire length of the hole on the right side.
On The Green The approach shot is fairly level to a narrow green protected to the right by a deep bunker and to the left by a big mound. Left is better than right for your approach shot
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee A par 4 with out of bounds left and lateral hazard right.
From The Fairway
On The Green Tee shot should favor the left side which will open up you approach shot to the green fronted by a pond. Left of the green is protected by a grass hollow. Green is narrow and long sloping gently from back to front. Favor left side coming into green to stay out of the water.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee Not as easy as the yardage reads. A short par 4 with a lateral hazard up the right side and out of bounds along the left and behind the green.
From The Fairway
On The Green Bunkers guard the landing areas no matter which club you chose to tee off with. Green is very shallow and slopes from back to front and is well protected by two large bunkers. Chose your club precisely as short and long are no bargain.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee The longest hole on the course. This par 5 has out of bounds all the way on the left side and lateral hazard all the way on the right side.
From The Fairway For most it will take 3 good shots to get home. Fairway is fairly narrow and slopes to the right. Oak trees frame the landing area on your second shot. Be sure to get past the
On The Green oaks if you want to see the green for your third shot. A deep pot bunker guards the front right. And bunkers left and right add to the demands of this hole. Best bet is to bounce it up there from the left. Green slopes from front to back.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee Fairly straight away par 4 to start the back 9. A generous landing area for most.
From The Fairway Those who wish to challenge the large fairway bunker must aim left to hit the fairway. A long and narrow bunker protects the right side of the green.
On The Green A left to right slope on the left side of the green helps most shots bounce onto the green. The green is long and slopes from middle to front and from middle to back. The correct club choice is very important here to be on the correct part of the green.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee Another down hill par 3. Although fairly short in yardage, this is one of the more difficult holes on the course.
From The Fairway
On The Green A kidney shaped green bends around a deep bunker on the right. Any shot hit left or long will be well below the putting surface and is almost assured a bogey or worse. Club selection is the key to this hole.
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee Definitely a risk, reward hole. A short dogleg par 4 that if played to
From The Fairway the fairway corner and then to the green is fairly simple as far as length goes. This hole however has many potential O-Bstacles as you step up to the tee. With a lateral hazard down the left side to the corner and a pond all the way down the right side, the fairway visually shrinks. From the corner to the green there is out of bounds on the left.
On The Green A cluster of bunkers guard the green front, right and left. Eagles to double bogies and worse can be made here in the blink of an eye.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee A down hill dogleg to the right. Beautiful views to towards the south and southeast.
From The Fairway Tee shot should favor the left side of fairway so as not to be blocked out by trees on your approach shot.
On The Green Be careful not to hit it too straight or left as you will find a water retention basin on the left. From there the green is protected by bunkers short and left and right. The green narrows towards the back and slopes towards the front.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee Up hill all the way! Not a long hole by yardage but with the change in elevation plays longer.
From The Fairway A lateral hazard guards the left side of the fairway. Big hitters must play away from the deep fairway bunker.
On The Green Your approach shot is longer than it seems to a small elevated green well protected by bunkers left and right. Club selection is very important on this hole as there is a lower level bowl on the front of the green that catches many balls.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee THE LAST MILE! This par 5 plays slightly down hill and doglegs to the right. With out of bounds stretching all the way on the right and a lateral hazard all the way on the left precision is the key. The driving landing area is protected by 2 bunkers, one off the tee to the left and one on the right at the corner of the dogleg.
From The Fairway Be careful not to go too far left as the fairway is plateaued. The lay-up shot requires specific club selection as a bunker right and a pond left must be avoided. Off in the distance you see a dramatic view of Mt. Wachusett as you look down this fairway. If you can manage to stay away from the hazards you’ll be left with a short approach shot to a green that narrows towards the back.
On The Green The green is protected by a pond short and left, a bunker left and two hollows to the right.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee By far the toughest hole on the course! This long par 4 plays up hill on your tee shot with a fairly wide landing area.
From The Fairway
On The Green A large pond is just beyond the driving area and runs up the left side to just short of the green. For your second shot it’s decision time! Do you go for the green and bring the pond into play or do you lay-up and play for on in three?! The green is protected by large oak trees to the right and a bunker left and short. Par is an excellent score here.
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee A short par 3 that plays a bit up hill to the smallest green on the course.
From The Fairway
On The Green The green is kidney shaped and elevated with a deep bunker along the bend to the left. Another small bunker fronts the right. With a lateral hazard along the left and behind, this hole is either hit the green or else. Club selection is very important here!
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee A great finishing hole. A par 5 that’s reachable in two shots for the longer hitters.
From The Fairway
On The Green This hole plays up hill off the tee and levels out after your second shot. A lateral hazard runs the entire length up the left side and behind the green. Your approach shot will be generally played down hill to the biggest green on the course. The green is a large bowl shape funneling most shots towards the center. A large deep bunker guards the front left of the green. A great birdie opportunity
