Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee A challenging opener awaits your initial tee shot.
From The Fairway Trees on both sides, out of bounds and fairway bunkers right mean your drive needs to be long and straight. The closer to the right side of the fairway the shorter your approach, but if you are not long enough you may have to lay up around fence and trees.
On The Green A second shot left or long can be costly. Green is large and relatively flat but has alot of subtle breaks.
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee Left center off the tee is best on this short hole.
From The Fairway Water behind the green will find an airmailed or pulled second shot. Second shot is downhill and, unless your drive makes it to the end of the fairway, will be blind.
On The Green Large trees short and right will often catch an errant short iron. Green is fairly flat. A good birdie opportunity.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee Two putts can be tough if you are on the wrong tier.
From The Fairway A deceptively hard short par 4. Drive is critical and needs to be as close to the end of the fairway as you can get to have an open shot at all parts of this green.
On The Green Tall pine looms over the left front of green. Long and left are trouble. Green is two tiered sloping from back to front
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A critical driving hole. Fairway and left hill slope from left to right, so aim left. Plateau on left is not a bad place to be, even offering the daring a go at the green. Mortals will want to lay up to the corner to narrowing fairway. Approach must be precise.
On The Green Hillside left is a tough pitch to a narrow green, while long can find tree trouble and water. Green slopes from back to front.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee Not a long par 3 but trouble surrounds. Trees left make that side treacherous but the severe slope right and front are no good either.
From The Fairway
On The Green Long makes for a very difficult pitch to a green sloping from back to front. Miss this green and you will fight for your par. Stay below the hole if at all possible.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee Trees to the left in front of the tee make this hole appear tighter than it is. Slight dogleg left favors a draw which can be tough to hold into the prevailing west wind. Trees line both sides and can bring big numbers in to play if you get caught in them.
From The Fairway
On The Green Bunkers in front and trees left guard a green that slopes from back left to front right.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee This short par 4 has tree trouble left and right and O.B. left against the driving range fence. Drive does not need to be long but must be accurate and preferably on the left side.
From The Fairway Bunker in front is not as close to the green as it appears but can catch a miss hit. Mound in front can make chip shots tricky. Long shots fall off hillside dramatically
On The Green Green slopes from back to front and has a narrow front left tongue that can be tough to hit.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee Downhill and often downwind, this par 3 will test your game. Everything slopes from left to right towards the hazard. Take your par if you can and run for the next tee.
From The Fairway
On The Green Erring to the “safety” left side leaves an awkward pitch to a narrow green. Green slopes from back to front and is very deep.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee Too long and right can be lost, while left can get you in a tangle of trees and awkward lies.
From The Fairway Another tough driving hole to a fairway that slopes from left to right with the prevailing wind.
On The Green Lay up to the corner leaves an uphill 3rd to a green guarded by oaks left and bunkers right. Green slopes substantially from back to front.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee Long and left can leave difficult pitches or worse. Don’t take 10 for granted.
From The Fairway
On The Green No mystery here. Downhill par 3 to a green that slopes from back to front. Short shots will often roll out on to the green.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee Long straight drive is rewarded here. O.B. and houses are trouble left and bunkers can catch your drive.
From The Fairway Right into 12th fairway is not a bad miss. Hitting telephone poles or lines requires re-hit with no penalty.
On The Green Long hitters can go for green in two but beware of pond hiding right front and O.B left and long. Huge green has ridge running across middle from left to right.
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee Tee shot into the prevailing wind needs to be long and straight especially from the back tees. Trees and mounds on the right can block out your approach.
From The Fairway
On The Green Extremely long green has three distinct levels rising from front to back. Pitch from either side to this narrow green can be very difficult to get close. Hitting telephone poles or lines requires re-hit with no penalty.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee A blind tee shot aimed at the telephone pole that gets you to the 100 yard marker is ideal.
From The Fairway
On The Green The shorter the drive the less green you can see. Second shot over deep valley and creek is tough to judge off downhill lie. Green slopes from back to front and has upper tiers left and right bisected by a valley. Stay below the hole at all costs.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Hazards on both sides of the fairway demand a straight drive. Your approach must be accurate to avoid the greenside bunkers. The left side of the fairway is often favored as the green has a small opening on that side
On The Green The green has many subtle undulations making a correct read a challenge.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee Whether the wind is blowing or not, the tee shot will take your best effort. The hillside left can be a help but a downhill pitch from that hill is a very delicate proposition. Avoid right as hill kicks toward the hazard.
From The Fairway
On The Green Green slopes from back to front and false front can bring short shots back into the apron.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee A long straight drive avoids tall grass on the right and trees on both sides. Prevailing west wind is helping from the left making eagle a possibility for long hitters.
From The Fairway Pear shaped green slopes from front to back and is very narrow in front. Favor the left side of the fairway for the best approach.
On The Green Mounding in the fairway at about 75 yards and surrounding the green add to the hole’s defenses.
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee Tee shots further back and left may require a lay up. Stay below the hole on a green that slopes severely from back to front. Par is an excellent score on 17.
From The Fairway
On The Green This dogleg left over Indian Creek requires a very precise drive. Aim at the 100 yard marker and try to get the ball at least that far for a shot at all of the green.
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee Finishing tee shot is somewhat blind but a drive at the 100 yard marker favoring the left is ideal.
From The Fairway There is some tree trouble to the right and carries over bunkers and mounds from that side require precision.
On The Green Long approaches bring hidden pond, O.B. and back bunker in to play. Green slopes from upper right tier to lower front left.
