On The Green Hit it big and you're in the water, tweak it left and you're in the burn, anything right and you're in the lap of the gods. So get it on the green! A par here feels like a birdie!

From The Fairway Designed as a dog leg left although a double fairway gives you a bail out if you stuff it left.
On The Green Play it as it was designed to be played, your drive should get you a line to a tight undulating green protected by a bunker to the left.

From The Tee The second of our three elevated tees and a great view up the valley awaits! If you fade it of the tee then give yourself

On The Green plenty of room here as any shot not clearing the heather can lead to a double figure score! Big hitters can get up in two, but for the rest of us play it as a par five. Get your second shot over the cross-burn, hit the green, and take it from there.

From The Tee From the tee it looks like you could throw your ball to the green but beware. You really have to concentrate and be sure of your short irons here or you might just be looking at a high score (one of our past club champions took 14 here once!)

From The Tee As you're up the hill putting out anyway it makes sense to have you teeing off from there so take your driver with you (oh - and a provisional ball!) Time to open up and give it everything you've got, but not left as over the road and you're out of bounds and that spare ball will be coming out of your pocket. On The Green the gap between the 'Dykes' that gives this hole its name is your line. You're now aiming for the double green again, two putt par 5, this game is easy!.

From The Tee A new tee and better shaping of the rough should make this play as a slight right to left.
From The Fairway Plenty of room off the tee and a solid second should give you another birdie chance (this game is easy after all!) Phew, that was some challenge! But hey! You have to go round again (should be able to shave about 10 shots from that first nine score!).
