From The Fairway Straight away Par 4 with a large driving area, although out of bounds skirt both sides of the fairway. Enlarged green from back to front can mean a club difference on the approach shot. Four sand bunkers are located on the right hand side of the green, with 3 bunkers skirting the back right edge of the green in case you go a little long on the approach shot.

Hole Name

From The Tee

From The Fairway The longest hole on the course sets up for a true test of a Par 5 hole. Water awaits any shot that slides to the right of the fairway, with sloping fairways gradually tapering to the water location. It will take 3 well placed shots to reach the green in regulation. The green is bunker free, but that should not comfort the golfer as the green slopes from left to right making it difficult to get the

Hole Name

From The Tee Straight away, uphill Par 4, that is guarded by out of bounds all along the right hand side of the hole. The green is well guarded by 3 large sand bunkers and a large grass mound on the front right of the green. The green slopes quickly from back left to front right making all putts very difficult and fast.

From The Tee

From The Fairway A classic links inspired hole, consists of a slight dog-leg left that rolls gently downhill to the green. Although no bunkers are present on the hole, be sure to put the ball in the fairway, or the rough will make it difficult to advance the ball towards the green. The prevailing cross wind can change this hole dramatically in length and ball trajectory.

From The Tee The shortest hole on the course can present many challenges as prevailing cross-winds can make it difficult to land the ball on the green. The green is guarded by 4 large sand bunkers, and is so long it can easily be a 1 to 2 club difference, depending on hole location. The green is very subtle and tends to slope down to the water off Hole No. 2. Short hole that can quickly bite.

From The Tee Uphill Par 5 has a generous driving area, and a well placed drive is necessary if golfer’s want to get home in 2 shots. The green is guarded by 4 large bunkers and the front 2 bunkers make for a great Risk vs. Reward scenario. Once on the green you’ll find a quick back to front slope that can make all lag putting very difficult.

From The Tee The second Par 3 is a mid-iron for most golfers and 4 large bunkers guard all wayward shots. The green has several sections divided by a “whale’s back” ridge that will affect all putts. It’s rare to get a flat putt on this large par 3 green.

From The Fairway The hardest hole on the course is also the BEST. This dog-left Par 4 is a true test of golf. Drives trying to cut the corner can be swept up in the fairway bunker making reaching the green in regulation very difficult. Even drives located in the fairway will most likely be uneven lies, with long irons into a well guarded and well sloped green.

From The Tee The closing hole is a slight dog-leg left Par 4, with a nice view of the Newport bound Claiborne Pell Bridge in the background. Like Hole 1, out of bounds runs up both sides of the hole – keep the drive in play for any chance to reach the green in regulation. The 2nd shot plays longer than most think, especially played from the blue tees.
