Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee A long par 4 opening hole requires a strong drive. A missed drive to the right will end in a swale, or worse, in thick bush. The long approach shot is uphill to a green protected by bunkers on the left. The green has a severe slope from back to front making long putts exceedingly difficult. A par is a great start to the Dune course.

Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A short par 4, which requires an accurate drive with sufficient height to clear the Tuart tree in front of the tee. A bunker will catch the wayward drive left and thick bush with a drive to the right. The cart path down the right side of the hole also presents a hazard as a rebound will send the ball into the bush, or worse, beyond the OOB on the right side of the path. The green is protected by

Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee This hole plays from an elevated tee to a wide landing area split in two by a spine of thick rough. However, a drive left will disappear into a patch of thick bush and to the right OOB, which continues up the right side and around a rocky area below the bunker. A large rock, “Carricks Head”, may also snooker a good drive down the right side. The approach shot is uphill and enquires careful club s

Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee A challenging long par 3 when played from the back tee, especially into the wind. This hole spells trouble with anything offline. Bunkers back left and right will collect shots too long. A wayward shot left will bounce down a steep slope into a Penalty Area, or worse, into thick bush. A shot to the right will be OOB, unless you get lucky and it ricochets off the cliff face onto the green.

Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway From an elevated tee, this short par 5 is a dogleg to the left. Extensive fairway undulations are a feature of this hole. Long hitters can clear the left fairway bunker and set up an eagle chance. Otherwise, bunkers are in play either side of the landing area. The second shot must be long enough and to the right to clear the large Tuart tree, leaving a relatively easy pitch to a two-tier green. Mi

Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A long par 4 requiring an accurate drive up the left side to a sloping fairway right. Bunkers left and right are in play to catch wayward drives. Long hitters will be able to reach the gully for an uphill pitch.

Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee A short but very demanding par 3 over a valley of scrub, particularly when a south-westerly wind blows. Anything too short tee again. Bunkers left and right will catch mishit shots. Too long the ball will stay on the back grassy slope, too short will roll down the slope.

Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee A short dogleg left requires an accurate drive to a landing area between a bunker left and two bunkers right. Long hitters may take on the green, but a mishit will find a large bunker front left of the green or scrub right of the fairway. Short hitters will be playing their second from “old men’s gully”.

Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A good drive that avoids the left bunker will give long hitters a chance to go for the green in two. A drive too far right will be blocked out by trees. The second shot is played to a landing area between grassy slopes on the left and right of the fairway, which will funnel the ball back onto the fairway if mishit.
