From The Tee This is a great par 5 although not over long in distance it has many natural hazards to catch the unwary.
From The Fairway
On The Green Tee shots need to carry to the top of the hill or face run off to the right. In summer with dry fairways the larger hitters get a chance to go for the green with their second shots however this is very much a risk and reward hole with out of bounds to the right of the green and many swales and hollows to negotiate. The percentage shot is to lay up in the dip to leave 120yards to the green.
From The Tee This is a great par 3 that can make or break any round. As in the name this hole is all about carry. Hit the ball straight and true and you will get there. Anything other leaves you in the valley of sin!
From The Tee This is a relatively straight forward dog leg right. However, a ditch dissects and protects the top half of
From The Fairway the fairway and catches many a misplaced or miss hit drive. The bottom has half of the fairway has a pronounced ridge that can be run over. Lay-up and you have a full shot in
From The Fairway This is the most challenging hole on the course with tree lined fairways and out of bounds over the wall to the left.
On The Green The ground slops away left to right to the trees so driving needs to be accurate. The green sits on a rise in the far corned and must be accurately accessed as a burn is at the back to catch any over exuberant approach and slops carry any short shot away to the right. If played well this is a very rewarding hole.
From The Tee This is the signature hole of Langholm Golf Course. As in the name on a good day you have unrivalled views of the Lakeland fells in the distance from a raised box tee.
From The Fairway This hole is a relatively short par 4. The fairway drops away to the bottom of the course. Many an iron is used for position and let gravity take the ball down to the bottom of the fairway.
On The Green The approach second shot is relatively straight forward however there is a deep syke (ravine) in front of the green to catch the unwary and out of bounds to the rear to catch the over exuberant. However the green is a good sized ‘dance floor’ to hit.
From The Tee This is a par 3 designed to replicate a hole on the Kings course at Gleneagles.

On The Green This is a test of accuracy. However the two tiered green is protected by three greedy bunkers and steep slopes that can help or hinder your path to the green. It is a full shot to the green with a short to mid iron or if you are Lee Trevino you can thread the eye of the needle land it short right and roll smoothly down onto the green!
