On The Green Trees down the right side protects the green from that angle. Front left bunker guards the greens left side and can make a difficult shot with a hole location on the front of the green. From The Tee The 6th hole at Lubbock Country Club is a tree lined straightaway par 5 that incorporates a narrow landing area with no other hazards to negotiate from the tee.
From The Fairway A reachable par 5, the bold player must position his 2nd shot between overhanging trees on the left and a fairway bunker, approximately 60 yards short of the green, on the right
On The Green The left potion of the green allows for a run-up shot, whereas approach shots seeking the right portion of the green must avoid 2 greenside bunkers. The green is protected by a deep bunker on the left side but over the green or right of the green is not good either. The front part of the green has some pretty strong right to left break. From The Tee As you make the turn, the 10th tee presents you with a decision.

On The Green A long tee ball that fmds the fairway and the bottom of the valley that crosses the 10th will provide you with a flat lie less than 100 yards from the green. If you can't reach the bottom then you are better off to lay back to the 150-yard mark to avoid the severe downslope between 140 yards and the bottom. From The Tee A medium length par 5 with a challenging tee shot. Out-of-bounds to the left,
From The Fairway trees to the right and a left-to-right sloping fairway requires a precise drive favoring the left side. A drive lost to the right will generally require a punch out back to the fairway.
On The Green After a well-placed drive, better players are tempted with a shot to the elevated green tucked between two canyon walls. The green is two-tiered which places a premium on third-shot approaches to finish on the correct tier as the hole. From The Tee t 605 yards the par 5, 13th is the longest hole at Lubbock Country Club.
From The Fairway The hole plays straight away, but has out of bounds down its full left side. A solid tee shot will leave you with a second shot that requires you to manage a set of two fairway
On The Green bunkers positioned at 90 yards from the green on the left and 60 yards on the right. The green complex is protected by one bunker and a grass swale on the left and trees on the right. The green as you view is relatively flat with a gentle slope left to right and is about 20 yards wide and 35 yards deep. This is a fun hole to play and is the number 4 handicap hole. - Ray Salsky

From The Tee Hole #14 is the shortest par 4 at Lubbock Country Club, but not necessarily the easiest
From The Fairway Placement of the tee shot is critical depending on where the hole is on the green. If the hole location is back left you must be on the right side of the fairway
On The Green if the hole location is on the right side of the green you must be on the left side of the fairway to avoid being blocked by the trees near the green. To be long on your approach shot is to guarantee bogey or worse. Good luck -have fun. - Ellwood Keeney

On The Green Lined with a lake and mature elm trees on the left side and a forest of trees down the right A birdie opportunity requires a well-placed tee shot that rewards you with a short to medium-length second shot into a generous green flanked by a bunker front right and a pair of grass bowls left of the green. On The Green It's a 210-yard par 3 where the wind is blowing into you most of the time. There is a creek that runs through that is not an issue for most, but can cause big prO-Blems if you don't hit a solid shot. The green is protected by bunkers on both sides and slopes from back to front. There is not a straight putt anywhere on it. From The Tee Arguably the best finishing hole in West Texas, a great risk vs reward challenge to complete your round at Lubbock Country Club.
From The Fairway This #8 handicap hole is an uphill, slight dogleg right that requires an accurate tee shot to the left side of the fairway in order to avoid the large daunting bunker on the right.
On The Green Long hitters can drive over the bunker on the right side but danger lurks just past it with a narrow landing area between two sets of bunkers to reach the green. The final challenge is a ridge running down the center of the green which makes approach shots and putting treacherous. - Roger Lowe
