Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Depending on wind direction, this opening hole will play either as an easy lead into the front nine or as one of the most demanding holes on the course. Typically, the wind is at your back. Longer hitters will easily carry the fairway bunker on the right hand side, setting up a mid to short iron approach to a well-guarded green.
On The Green Into the wind, it will take a big tee shot and a long iron or fairway wood to have any chance at birdie. Consider taking one extra club on the second shot as the front of this green is protected on both sides by sand and water.
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee Longer hitters might think for a second about going for this green off the tee. However, the odds of holding the green with a driver are extremely low and the carry over water will need to be about 265 yards.
From The Fairway With a long iron or fairway wood, aim for the fairway bunker and hit a shot between 190 and 220 yards. A wedge or sand wedge second shot sets up a good chance for birdie.
On The Green
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee If you had the wind at your back on #1, then you'll be hitting into it on this demanding par 4. With water guarding the entire left-hand fairway, the smart play is to aim just left of the fairway bunker on the right. A tee shot hit to the right centre of the fairway leaves a mid to long iron second shot which will not have to carry any water.
From The Fairway
On The Green As the front of this green is usually firm, balls landing short will often bounce onto the putting surface. This green is almost 40 yards deep, so pay close attention to the pin position as it can greatly affect your club selection.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee Wind direction and how far you carry the ball will determine whether you treat this hole as a par 3 or a short par 4. A direct line to the pin is a 190-yard carry over water and sand. If you don't feel confident that you can carry the ball all the way to the hole, aim at the green side bunker on the right and leave yourself an easy pitch into the green.

Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee Downwind, this par 5 is reachable in two with a pair of solid shots. Off the tee, aim at the right centre of the fairway to avoid the bunkers.
From The Fairway
On The Green If you can't reach the green in two, make sure you leave yourself a good angle for your third shot that avoids the grass bunker in front of the green. This is the only par 5 on the front nine and provides a chance for birdie that you won't want to pass up.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway This straight away hole features out-of-bounds left and a fairway bunker on the right. Keep your drive on the short grass and set up a short second to this small green.
On The Green If the pin is in front, you may have to land your approach shot short as shots hit long will often bounce through the green into the back bunker. Because of it's short length, this hole affords most players a chance at birdie.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway This is one of the best risk-reward holes on the course. Most players will elect to hit a fairway wood or long iron straight away through the gap of the grass covered mounds and bunkers.
On The Green Shots hit to the left side of this fairway can leave a mid to long iron to a green which slopes steeply from back to front. From here, par is an acceptable result. Longer hitters can aim their tee shots further right and over the water leaving a short pitch and another chance at birdie.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee This mid-length par 3 is greatly affected by wind direction. Into a stiff breeze, this green tends to look a lot smaller than it actually is. The good news: when the pin is in the centre, the green funnels toward the pin so that balls hit slightly right or left it will bounce toward their intended target, setting up a short putt for birdie.

Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway The fairway bunkers on the right are designed to steer you toward the narrow fairway and water on the left. Don't be fooled. Hit a fairway wood or long iron at the pot bunker on the right and you will set up a 150 yard second shot which keeps the water out of play for all pin positions except front left.
On The Green This green is very deep (42 yards) so pay close attention to pin position when deciding what club to use on your approach shot.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Driver isn't even a consideration on this hole. Hit a long iron or fairway wood to the right side of the fairway. A short iron second shot should give you a good chance to make birdie.
On The Green A front right pin is very difficult to get close to. The ability to hit a high approach shot, which stops quickly, will be rewarded here.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee A par five, which offers a good chance at birdie because of its short length and the fact that it generally, plays downwind. Your tee shot here should favor the right side of the fairway in order to leave an angle that allows you to go for the green in two.
From The Fairway A second shot hit into the bunkers on the front left side of the green means you will have a difficult time getting your third shot close and par will be a good score. If you can't get on in two, your second shot should also favor the right side of the fairway in order to leave a short approach that doesn't have to carry over the bunkers.
On The Green
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee This is the beginning of a very tough stretch of holes. Par is always a welcome score on this par 3, which is usually played in a crosswind. Although you may not feel the wind when you stand on the tee, it's still there.
From The Fairway
On The Green Check the flag and what way it is moving and you will have a better chance at choosing the right club. The bunker to the right of the green collects a lot of balls, make sure yours isn't one of them.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee Into the wind, this hole is very demanding. The landing area for the tee shot is only 16 yards wide. A good tee shot will leave a mid to long iron into this long, narrow green.
From The Fairway
On The Green Pin placement can make a difference of 3 to 4 clubs on the approach shot. If you are fortunate to play this hole downwind, longer hitters may decide to carry over the corner of the fairway bunker on the right and set up a short iron second shot and a chance at birdie.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee This is considered the toughest hole on the course and one of the most demanding in the province. Aim your tee shot just left of the 150 marker in the middle of the fairway and give it your best shot.
From The Fairway If you can't reach the green in two, aim your second shot to the right side of the fairway in order to leave yourself the maximum amount of green to work with for your pitch shot. Make par here and consider yourself successful.
On The Green A good tee shot will leave a long iron or fairway wood second shot to a long and narrow green.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee This difficult par 3 is similar to the fourth hole. Again, wind direction will determine whether you take the direct line over the water or aim out to the right and set up a short pitch and chance at a one-putt par. Pay close attention to the pin placement as it can make a difference of up to 3 clubs.
From The Fairway
On The Green
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Birdie potential here. Avoid the temptation to hit to the right of centre and you won't have to worry about the water. Aim at the fairway bunker straight away and use a club that you are comfortable hitting straight.
On The Green The grass bunker that guards the green makes it difficult to access a front pin. The ability to hit your second shot high and stop it quickly is a skill that will be rewarded with a short birdie putt.
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee Just when you thought the course was going to let up, you face #17. Into the wind, this hole can play very long. Downwind, the landing area is made narrow by the water on the left. Aim just right of the 150-yard marker and swing away.
From The Fairway
On The Green Pay attention to the pin position in order to choose the club that will allow you to reach the appropriate tier of the green. A putt from front left to back right is almost impossible to get close!
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee A lot of things can happen on this par 5. Favor the right centre of the fairway off the tee. A big tee shot sets up a chance to go for the green in two and an opportunity for birdie. If you hit a shorter drive off the tee, you will have to decide where to lay-up to.
From The Fairway From the front edge of the first fairway bunker to the 150 marker is 120 yards. To hit over the water from this location is 152 yards. Into the wind, this shot will play a lot longer.
On The Green The decision is yours. Play risk free on the second shot and leave yourself a long third. Hit a more aggressive second and you leave yourself and wedge to the green (just don't be short). This hole is a strong finish to a demanding back nine.
