Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee Typical of Meadow Brook, expanded tees on the first hole allow players to find a reasonable challenge for their game.
From The Fairway Cut through tall pines, the first hole plays out on a level that holds the drive, before dropping down into the basin of a small creek (Meadow Brook) crossing just short of the green.
On The Green A line of trees continues along the left side up to the green, leaving the right open to the hazard of the creek. The putting surface sets up above the creek and below a high bank in the rear, backing up bunkers center and right
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee The second is the shortest of the four par 5s on the course but with enough potential trouble to demand accurate play. Offset bunkers both left and right in the first target area challenge the drive, with the chance for the long hitter to carry the one on the right.
From The Fairway From the high deck of this target, the hole drops into a deep valley before rising up to the front of the green. A pair of bunkers lead up to the putting surface to protect the left side.
On The Green With a fall-away to the right of the green, a careful approach is needed. Varied pin positions on this large, heavily contoured green will present the final challenge.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee Playing through a narrowed corridor of large trees, the drive will run over a roll and down the fairway to a wide deck. From here, the short to medium approach goes to a green tucked into the trees.
From The Fairway The low fairway runs up a putting surface flanked by deep bunkers right and left that will force carries to some pin locations. A beautiful setting for a short par 4 easily, reached after a good drive.
On The Green
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee The longest of the par 3’s, if played from the back, this hole goes slightly uphill into the deep woods of the property.
From The Fairway A slope partially blinds the left side of the green, but reveals a single small pot bunker in the front center of the green.
On The Green Steep slopes of the front and right side of the elevated green test shots to pins on this side of a large undulating surface. Accuracy and club selection are critical from any of the tees.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway The longest of the par 4’s on the course plays from upper and lower tees to a rising fairway that doglegs to the right. The drive must reach a bunker-free “deck” to have a clear view of the green
On The Green A single, but large, bunker extending out from the putting surface challenges shots to pins on the left side. Low areas surround a slightly raised green nestled into a natural hollow. Large trees frame the hole from the tee and form a backdrop for the green.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee Tees vary the direction of play over and around a deep depression on this short one-shotter.
From The Fairway An unusually large green sets above this low wetland area that is bunkered in front and drops into a natural grassy hollow in the back.
On The Green The wide, rolling and extended green offers changing play angles and demands good club selection for the player to get over the bunkers. A background of beautiful hardwoods creates a striking setting for this hole.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee From extended tees, the hole rises to a wide and open fairway with many playing options. Bunkers left and right are joined by a centered bunker that splits the fairway.
From The Fairway This expanded target area can be played left or right, and either short or long, challenging the bunkers. The fairway dips to the right, to a green protected by a deep bunker fronting the surface and pin positions on the right side.
On The Green
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee High tees provide a view of a fairway playing back into trees. Mounds on the left keep the drive in play as the hole doglegs to the right
From The Fairway The long corridor is narrowed by a large oak on the right as the hole continues through the trees. A high shoulder on the left keeps play to the right in the second target area.
On The Green A diagonal green with a single bunker in the right front requires a delicate pitch to avoid the fall-away on the right and for the shot to hold the rear deck.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway The ninth plays back to the clubhouse area. over a low rough area to an uphill fairway. Two small bunkers on the left narrow the target between the tees as the hole continues upgrade to the green.
On The Green The banks of bunkers on the left side and the right rear are visible, since the elongated putting surface runs between them and the trees that surround it.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee Viewed from the tees set into the terraces of natural rock outcroppings, the tenth presents one of the most beautiful sights on the course.
From The Fairway The green, with its single, frontal bunker, is a peninsula extending into a large lake that will later challenge the golfer’s approach to the finishing hole.
On The Green A generous target with hazards that encroach on every one of the many possible pin locations.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee From tees alongside the same lake, the drive must be directed to a tree-lined target narrowed by its left side bunkering.
From The Fairway The contoured fairway leads to a slightly elevated and diagonal green challenged by bunkers along its right side. Set in a frame of trees, this rising putting surface is one of the smallest on the course.
On The Green
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee Set in the most open part of the property, this first of the 600- yarders on the back nine has several challenges besides its length. A bunkers on the left directs play from the tees.
From The Fairway Trees pinching the fairway past the target make a drive played too safely to the right a prO-Blem for the second shot. A high bunker left, a fairway pitched right, and a deep valley short of the green sets up a short pitch to the raised surface.
On The Green The large green wraps behind a deep bunker on the right side.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee A short, open hole that offers alternative playing angles to a wide fairway. A trio of diagonal bunkers presents a choice to avoid or carry these hazards.
From The Fairway The very large, elongated green sets up in a mounded area home to a single bunker on left front.
On The Green The surrounding humps and hollows will feed and collect shots to and from this unique putting surface of multiple breaks and contours.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee This long two-shotter is played from trees at the tees into a narrowing tree lined corridor at the target.
From The Fairway
On The Green A single bunker protects the right and rear portions of the green, and a deep swale curls around the left and behind the left half of the putting surface, separating it from a low mound and the encircling trees.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee The course’s longest hole plays from tees along a lake to a rising target area free of any hazard other than the woods on either side.
From The Fairway A bunker on the left at the crest of the fairway is visible and defines the second target. From here the green comes into view as the hole widens and dips down and then ramps up to the putting surface.
On The Green A series of pot bunkers pinching the right side follow the grade up to the putting surface. The natural terrace of the green is framed by some of the site’s largest trees, and brings an end to this heroic, beautiful hole.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee Playing back into the trees, from “free-form” tees, the hole turns slightly to the left after the drive.
From The Fairway The trees open up on the right to reveal an elongated mounded bunker that runs up to the right front of the putting surface
On The Green The open front of the raised green is tightened by a small pot bunker on the left. Trees left and behind provide an attractive natural envelope for this green site.
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee A second lake makes this final par 3 another of the course’s water holes.
From The Fairway A low slung green between higher wooded terrain on both sides is still high enough for a deep bunker cut into the right approach to the green.
On The Green A large, deep putting surface rolling over a ridge on the right will test club selection to its many pin positions
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee The home hole plays from a gap in the trees to a deck over a grassy swale. The target area with trees to the left and a fall-away to the right is further challenged by water for the longest hitter.
From The Fairway The lake that follows the fairway on the left and fronts the green forces all approaches over the hazard to find the flagstick. Fairway to the right provides an escape for those golfers unwilling or unable to risk the carry.
On The Green With a series of three, high-backed pot bunkers behind the green, the setting is complete for a stunning finish to the course.
