Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee The opening hole of The Creek is a medium length hole that requires accuracy right from the start.
From The Fairway The smart play is to key it short of the bunker on the right side of the fairway with something less than a driver.
On The Green Your second shot will be a mid iron into the green with a bunker guarding front right. If you choose to take driver out, be sure and stay left of the tree in the fairway to avoid going through the fairway right. Placement is not only important here, but throughout your round.
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee A three shot par 5 for most.
From The Fairway For those with the length to get home on two, place your drive as far right in the fairway as your dare.
On The Green The closer to the green you get, the more the hole narrows. The green side is bunkerless, so shots kept between the trees will give you a great chance to make par or better.

Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway This is the first of back-to-back holes with a split fairway. Your drive needs to avoid three bunkers that guard the fairway.
On The Green Go left or right of the island that splits the fairway. Unfortunately a straight drive here will cost you at least one shot. If you can navigate the tee shot successfully, you will be rewarded with a reasonable chance to make par. Avoid the large bunker that protects the right side of the generous sized green.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee This par 4 will challenge your patience.
From The Fairway You will want to go down the left fairway for the most direct route to the green, but beware! This is a narrow fairway and demands a very accurate tee shot.
On The Green The more practical way of playing the hole is down the right side aimed just to the left of the bunker. Your second shot should err on the longer side to avoid the two smallish bunkers that guard the front of the green. A good score can be made going down either fairway. Going left cuts the distance on your second shot by several clubs, but wayward shots will make you regret your decision.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee This is an all-around good hole no matter what set of tees you play it from. It varies in length from 108-222 yards. If you never play it from the back tees, go stand up there and take a few pictures.
From The Fairway
On The Green The shot is visually intimidating, but the large green only requires the right club choice for a chance at par. The two bunkers on the front are well short of the green. Shots hit long into the back bunker will leave an awkward downhill recovery shot. Don't let the landscape of the hole scare you. Select the right club and go to the next hole with a smile on your face.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee This short par 4 offers another chance to help your scorecard.
From The Fairway Off the tee, driver is not necessary but can be used. Stay left of the cart path and you'll be fine. Ideally take aim at the small spruce tree in the middle of the fairway about 40 yards from the green. For your second shot, avoid the two bunkers guarding the front of the green.
On The Green The medium sized green falls off on all sides. Hitting the proper shot in leaves an excellent opportunity to score.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee A beautiful par 4 with Ship Creek lurking behind the trees on the left. This hole requires accuracy all around. An ideal tee shot is shaped right to left and leaves a very demanding second shot that should come in with a little height to hold the rather smallish green for the holes' length.
From The Fairway
On The Green The green is guarded by a large bunker on the right and a small bunker on the front left. Navigate those and you still have the trees all around to contend with. You'll feel great about making a par here. Don't be too disappointed with a five because you most likely haven't lost the hole to your opponent.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee This beautiful par 5 is a hole where most will not pull out their driver.
From The Fairway The tee shot needs to be played down the left side or with a right to left pattern short of the first hazard. Right and left of the fairway is definite trouble.
On The Green The lay up shot with a medium iron will cross the hazard and stay short of Ship Creek. Some longer hitters may dare to challenge the creek with their second shot. Most will fail to be rewarded because of the small target the green presents. The third shot with a short iron must be accurately played because of the bunker just over the creek and woods left and behind the green. This hole requires tr
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee We start the back nine with a par 4 that those from the white tees back will tee off over Ship Creek and stay short of a second hazard about 215 yards from the white tees. Some longer hitters will try their luck at knocking it over both hazards. The gold and red tee players will just need to navigate the second hazard.
From The Fairway The tee shot will be downhill, then it's all uphill to the green, If you avoid the two fairway bunkers on the right off the tee and two more on the left for your second shot you'll only have three more
On The Green The second shot tends to play about a club longer and will be to a green guarded by two bunkers on the front left and one further out front that visually intimidates more than it presents an approach shot issue.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee Welcome to the longest hole in Alaska. At 640 yards from the black tees it's a beautiful beast. A fun par 4 that requires a slight fade off the tee for white tee players. Bombers can take it right over the corner of the trees. This hole seems to be a popular crossing for black bears, so keep an eye out for them.
From The Fairway
On The Green The second shot will most likely be a fairly short one to an unprotected green with not much slope. Go ahead and take advantage of it.

Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee The Creek Course opened in 2000 and is the most challenging golf course in the state; perhaps the most challenging many golfers have ever played. It's the longest golf course in Alaska at 7,324 yards from the back tees, and has the Longest Single Hole, the par 5, number 11 at 640 yards. Two of the holes, number 6 and 11, play through reclaimed gravel pits and are two of most scenic holes to be fou

Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee The bunker-less par 4 is straight away with just the woods on each side to worry about off the tee.
From The Fairway
On The Green A medium length second shot to an unprotected green gives you a good chance to make up a stroke.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee The shortest par 3 on the course is anything but a sure thing. Depending on the tee your playing, it will play 109-175 yards.
From The Fairway
On The Green The further right your tee shot is the longer the carry to safety. The two bunkers guarding the front of the green are ball collectors, so use enough club to carry to at least the middle of the green. Wayward shots beware of the trouble that surrounds the green on all sides.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee The last par 4 on the course is a great test of your ability to finish off a good round. The ideal tee shot is a slight left to right shaped off of the left bunker.
From The Fairway
On The Green The bunker short left of the green is actually about 15 yards short of the putting surface and should only affect the most mishit shot. Aiming your approach just right of the tree behind the green is ideal. The green, like most falls off on all sides.

Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee The finishing hole is a feast or famine hole. This hole is all about your second shot.
From The Fairway The fairway off the tee is generous. There is plenty of room to get something in play with your drive. For your second shot, there is a little more room on the left side of the fairway than it appears.
On The Green Depending on the layup you played, you'll have anything from a very short pitch to a mid-iron. Stay right of the bunker guarding the front left or be sure to hit enough club to carry to the back third of the green if you do go left. A definite birdie opportunity can change to an other on the card with one bad decision.
