From The Fairway A gentle opening hole with a generous fairway. A good birdie opportunity. Revetted bunkers down the left, with the car park and beach out of bounds on the right.
On The Green Having found the fairway you are left with a mid to short iron to a large flat green, surrounded by bunkers.

From The Tee Hole 3: Table – 397 yards [Par 4] Slight dog leg from left to right.
From The Fairway
On The Green A good drive is required, to set up a mid iron to an elevated but firm green, which is difficult to hold. Against the wind leaves a long carry to the green. Trouble through the back so be accurate. Par feels like a birdie on this hole.

From The Tee Hole 4: Coulart – 193 yards [Par 3] A tough Par 3. Long straight carry required.
From The Fairway
On The Green A bowl shaped green protected with a bank on the right, rough and whins on the left and out of bounds through the back. This hole has been selected as the 8th hole for a custom built course of 18 of the top holes in Scotland, to be called the “The Tribute” based in Dallas Texas. Par is a good score.

From The Tee Hole 5: Kinneder – 413 yards [Par 4] First of the long Par 4s over 400Yards.
From The Fairway A good drive to the right hand side of the fairway is required to reach a sunken green with your second shot.
On The Green Road out of bounds on the right, Bunkers and Gorse on the left. Green gathers the ball left to right.

From The Tee Hole 6: Gordonstoun – 146 yards [Par 3] A short Par 3 but nonetheless a good one.
From The Fairway
On The Green Short iron tee shot needs to be carried all the way to the flattest green on the course, well guarded by rough and bunkers.

From The Tee Hole 7: Ring – 435 yards [Par 4] Accuracy off the tee is essential, with tall bushes and trees on the right and whins and out of bounds on the left.
From The Fairway
On The Green A good drive still leaves you with a wood or good long iron to the green. Several well placed bunkers waiting to catch the mis-directed second shots. Large flat green with subtle breaks and borrows. Par is always a challenge.

From The Tee Hole 8: Heather – 456 yards [Par 4] The toughest hole on the course.
From The Fairway Fairway protected by heather and whin. Cleverly positioned bunkers dotted along the landing area from the tee. Best drive of the day required to allow you the opportunity of pulling out a fairway wood or
On The Green long iron to go for a well protected green. If you negotiate a Par, you will think it is a Birdie.

From The Tee Hole 9: Ditch – 310 yards [Par 4] Short Par 4 when down wind is almost driveable.
From The Fairway
On The Green Long narrow green well protected by surrounding bunkers. Laying up off the tee allows you to hit a nice wedge all the way, or play a classis links “chip and run” shot to the green. A fine example that a hole does not need to be long to be good. A positive Birdie opportunity.

From The Tee Hole 10: Tom Morris – 313 yards [Par 4] Fairly generous driving area, with rough and heather on the right and bunkers protecting down the left.
From The Fairway
On The Green A good drive will get close, leaving a short chip or pitch and run into a flattish green. If pin is tucked in on the right side of the green, very difficult to get close. However, like the 9th, another great Birdie opportunity.

From The Tee Hole 11: Lighthouse – 423 yards [Par 4] This is the first of four tough Par 4’s which are back to back.
From The Fairway
On The Green The 11th needs a good drive, to allow you the chance of going for the green, which is protected by a diagonal ditch running approximately 20 yards in front of the green. A generous landing area off the tee, however, your second shot needs to be on target to a large firm green which make this a difficult green to hold. A challenging hole.

From The Tee Hole 12: Beacon – 389 yards [Par 4] A great driving hole, with a slight dog leg from right to left.
From The Fairway Anything not hit correctly from the tee may catch the ditch which runs across the front of the fairway.
On The Green Landing area protected down the left side by deep revetted bunkers. Good drive leaves a mid iron to an elevated green which rises steeply from the front to the back. Any shot hitting the green with a slice will be gathered up by the greenside bunker. A great hole.

From The Tee Hole 13: St Gerardines – 418 yards [Par 4] Again a good drive is required if you are to reach the green in two.
From The Fairway
On The Green Green is well protected with revetted bunkers and the natural contours of the ground around the greens means everything runs from right to left. A fairly large flat green which if hit in two, should guarantee Par.

From The Fairway Hole 14: Sea – 427 yards [Par 4] Generous fairway, nonetheless protected on both sides by whin and thick rough.
On The Green A good drive sets up a long to mid iron shot to the green. Anything short will run right to left, catching the semi-rough and leaving a tricky pitch to a green with subtle borrows. A very scenic hole, which takes in the shoreline, sea and stunning views looking on to the lighthouse.

From The Tee Hole 15: Short – 180 yards [Par 3] The final Par 3, but do not be fooled by its stroke index of 18.
From The Fairway
On The Green A mid iron to a large reasonably flat green, well protected by sand and grassy bunkers. Like most holes along the shore-line, the ball runs towards the sea. Par is a good score.

From The Tee Hole 16: Road – 358 yards [Par 4] Short Par 4 usually playing with the prevailing wind.
From The Fairway
On The Green A good drive sets up a mid to short iron to a sloping and tricky green. If your ball finishes on the wrong tier to the pin you will have your work cut out to make Par.

Hole Name
From The Tee Hole 17: Long – 509 yards [Par 5] Long Par 5 but normally with the prevailing wind. Long rough all along the left and whin to the right makes it a must that your drive is straight.
From The Fairway The very big hitters can get up in two, however for the mere mortals a good drive and a good fairway wood or long iron leaves a pitching
On The Green wedge or pitch and run into a relatively flat green. Normally a good birdie opportunity, but like most hole on Moray Old, if you do not hit it straight, watch out!

Hole Name
From The Tee Hole 18: Home – 408 yards [Par 4] PrO-Bably Moray’s most photographed hole and certainly considered by many visitors and top golfers around the world to be one of the best finishing holes in golf. Out of bounds all the way down the right and the left is protected by revetted bunkers and long rough.
From The Fairway
On The Green A good straight drive is a must, which will set up a long to mid iron to a large elevated green. Avoid the left hand bunker aptly named “Hells Bunker”. Don’t be surprised to have a gallery sitting watching your approach to the green and your attempt not to three putt! The best hole on the course, and almost worth you green fee just to play this hole alone.
