Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee The first hole is a gentle opener to introduce you to the course. Just a driver and wedge hole for the longer hitters.
From The Fairway A tee shot that finishes in the right side of the fairway will give you the best angle for the approach. This green predominantly slopes from back to front allowing approach shots to stop.
On The Green
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee This is a short par 4 that can be played numerous ways. A well-placed tee shot should leave you about 100 metres out from the green.
From The Fairway The key is to avoid the bunker that comes into play left of the fairway 90 metres out from the green.
On The Green Longer players also may be enticed to go for the green with their tee shots. This green is built up, so hitting the putting surface with your approach is very important.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee After easing your way into the round with the opening 2 holes, this hole is a true test and requires 2 very good shots.
From The Fairway From the more forward tees (Red, White, Blue) the key is to position the ball in the fairway as water stares at you from the right and trees hug the left side of the hole.
On The Green The black tees are a true test of golf and requires a well hit tee shot in order to carry the water and leave yourself in a position that allows a good angle to the green for your second shot.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway The start of our very own AMEN corner, the 4th is Index 1 for good reason. With water coming into play with both your tee shot and second shot.
On The Green This is a genuine 3 shot hole and requires 3 well placed shots. A bunker also protects the front left-hand side of this green which just adds to the toughness of this hole.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee A strong par 3 that requires a long iron for even the longer hitters. This hole predominantly plays into the wind as well which just adds to the length.
From The Fairway
On The Green A bunker protects the left side of the putting surface, so the line of target is at the right side of the green for most players. This is one of the larger greens on the course and is quite flat.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee The last of AMEN corner. A great par 5 with a stunning view from the tee as you play towards Mount Coolum. With water running through the middle of the fairway roughly 220 metres out from the green, players have decisions to make.
From The Fairway
On The Green Longer hitters may leave driver in the bag here in order to take the water out of play, whilst shorter hitters require 2 good shots to cover the water and give them a chance to hit the green with their third shot. Bunkers protect this green in the front and right which adds to the level of difficulty.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee This is a short par 4 but not without its challenges. Players are forced to hit a right to left ball flight off the tee as the hole doglegs to the left.
From The Fairway With trees protecting both sides of this hole, a tee shot that finishes in the fairway is vital. The green is elevated and slopes from back to front, so long of this green is not a good result.
On The Green
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee A straightforward par 3 to a small target that is slightly elevated and drops away at the back and left side.
From The Fairway
On The Green The green is quite flat, so any tee shot that finds the putting surface will result in a genuine birdie chance.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee A tough finishing hole to the front 9. One of the longer par 4s on the course and a smaller putting surface make this hole a real challenge.
From The Fairway The left side of this fairway is protected by over-hanging trees, so players will try to position their ball in the right half of the fairway to allow the best angle in for the approach.
On The Green
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway
On The Green The shortest hole on the course, but not without its challenges. Featuring a two-tiered green, club selection and accuracy are vital. Avoiding the bunkers is a must, and players will not want to go long as the back of the green drops away dramatically.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee Measuring over 500 meters from the back tee, this is a genuine 3 shot hole. Only the longest of hitters will be able to go at this green in 2.
From The Fairway With trees protecting both sides of the fairway for the full length of the hole, accuracy is a must.
On The Green
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee A short par 3 that only requires a wedge or short iron for most. Distance control with the tee-shot is key on this hole, due to the slightly raised green.
From The Fairway
On The Green If a player hits their tee shot long of this green, making par will be a real challenge.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway This is a beast! Index 2 for good reason. A par 5 that plays over 520m from the back tee and doglegs to the left. With penalty areas on both sides of the fairway and trees coming into play in the lay-up area, accuracy on this hole is key.
On The Green Players will give themselves the best chance at laying up to a good spot if they position their tee shot in the right half of the fairway. The green is wide and has a deceptive amount of slope.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee A long par 3 to small green that is elevated from all sides. This is one of the hardest par 3s on the course.
From The Fairway
On The Green The longer players will try to hit an approach that has a lot of height giving the ball the best chance of staying on the putting surface, whilst the shorter hitters will choose to run one up the front of the green. Don’t go long!
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee One of the shorter par 5s on the course, longer players will look to take full advantage of this hole.
From The Fairway With trees protecting both sides of the fairway and a bunker 250m from the tee for men and 170m for women, players will have a decision to make.
On The Green The longer players will look to take the bunker on, allowing them the best chance of hitting this green in 2.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee Positioning is key on this hole, with a narrow green that slopes dramatically from back to front, and a bunker that protects the left side of the green.
From The Fairway Players should aim to position their tee shot on the green under the hole giving them an uphill putt.
On The Green
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee A genuine risk-reward hole. The tee shot is most important on this hole. After hitting the tee shot players will have a decision to make.
From The Fairway
On The Green Taking on this green in 2 will require a well hit shot as it is all water carry. Others will decide to lay up to the corner between 80 meters and 100 meters from the green. This green is protected by 3 bunkers and slopes from back to front.
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A short par 4 that longer players may try to hit with their tee shot. This fairway slopes from right to left meaning that the line from the tee is the right edge of the fairway allowing the ball to run towards the middle of the fairway.
On The Green The green is two-tiered and elevated, so accuracy with the approach is very important to closing out your round with a good score on the 18th.
