Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway From an elevated Tee the fairway drops with two ridges to clear on the drive, narrowing at the 150 and a flat fairway some 60 metres in vertical drop from the tee.
On The Green
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee This is the start of our version of 'Amen Corner' and requires steady nerve early in your round. Men's Tee 143m, 127m and both face the same dilemma.
From The Fairway The Hole is exposed and you are at the mercy of the wind. Out of bounds on the right and thick woods and water hazard on the left, so keeping the ball straight is paramount. Any uncontrolled fade or hook spells disaster.
On The Green As for length, you need to avoid the penalty area 10 m in front of the green. Relief if you hit the green, but as it is two tiered you need to be in control of your putting on our Bermuda style greens. A par here is well earned.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee So you have managed a par at the 2nd!? Now at third Tee, the second of our ‘Amen Corner’, and some important decisions, as you face one of the best holes in country golf.
From The Fairway This hole challenges golfers of all abilities. This is a ‘Mount Pleasant G.C.' signature hole. Go safe up the fairway and leave yourself with at least 160 to the green, take on the corner of the lake.
On The Green But the entrance is protected left and right by classic 200 year old gums narrowing the gateway a par here is another blessing. again any uncontrolled hook or slice and it spells DISASTER.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee Two of three 'Amen Corner' completed and hopefully still in the game. Now the challenge of one of our new holes.
From The Fairway This is not a long hole but a direct drive over the hole will have to survive the landing through a shroud of aged gum trees and water to the right of the hole (Yellow Penalty area).
On The Green A lost ball is a likely outcome for those seeking to eagle or birdie this hole. Risk and Reward. The green is the smallest on the course and the surrounds are very undeveloped, so it is important to hit the green with a lofted shot.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee Up hill (50 meters rise) you just need to keep it straight and get to within a hundred metres. Then pitch onto a green which has very few tricks.
From The Fairway Did I mention straight on the drive? If you stray, the famous trees of Mount Pleasant G.C. will swallow your wayward shots and make you pay dearly. Hopefully the wind is not around as you pitch onto the green.
On The Green The surround gutter at the back could also present problems if you are too long. The thick grass here can grab clubs on return.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee A big par 5 and all dependent of wind direction. Elevated Tee gives a great view of what is required. The driver required here; to ride the wind or stay under it. It is really important to set this hole up by being in the middle of the fairway and with as much distance as possible.
From The Fairway The second is the money shot and critical to get the ball on the right side of fairway and as close to the 100m marker or better. With the 3rd the landing on the narrow two tired green is needed to prevent ball rolling of the steep sides of the green.
On The Green Should be a regulation two putt or better. Fall off the sides and headaches arrive with limited landing space for recovery.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee A winter breeze will certainly add difficulty, as you are hitting up the gentle slope and into westerlies or south Westerlies.

Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway
On The Green The green is full of breaks and nuances, so get as close to pin as possible or 3 putts beckon.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee Only one hole to play and you have finished the first 9 holes. A real opportunity to 'cash in' with a long straight drive and a short pitch onto a reasonably friendly green. Just a grass bunker on the right hand of the fairway at about 200 meters and a further green-side grass bunker only a problem.
