From The Fairway This is one of only 2 par fives on the course. A new back tee has been added to increase the length of the hole to 554 yards whilst also bringing the fairway cut area back nearer to the tee The angle of the new tee also creates a more demanding tee shot playing more to the right and bringing the copse more into play. From The Tee The first par 3, is close to the bridle path that runs through the course. Please give way to horses being exercised and walkers as they pass through the course. The hole is protected on both sides by bunkers and any ball landing short will usually bounce right towards the two deep right hand bunkers which, although they stop the ball disappearing into the deep rough, are still best avoided.”
