Hole 1

From The Tee The opening hole at Oak Country can be somewhat dangerous. Trees line the fairway on the left and out of bounds looms on the right.

From The Fairway If you can’t hit a reliable draw with a wood the best play is to tee off with your 160 to 170 yard club. This will leave you about a 100 yard shot into the green from a fairway that slopes somewhat left to right.

On The Green The green also slopes quite a bit from left to right so once you get to the green putting can be fairly tricky depending on where the hole is on the green.

From The Tee This is one of the more unique holes around the Kansas City area. A very large Oak tree is in your line of flight on the tee shot.

From The Fairway

On The Green You can either hit your ball under or over the tree and if you are successful a 160 to 170 yard shot will leave you with a tricky, short pitch into a very small and elevated green.

From The Tee The 3rd hole is rated the #1 handicap hole on the course for a reason. Out of bounds to the right and Kill Creek to the left on your tee shot.

From The Fairway A pond also sits right in front of the green so you don’t want to hit your tee shot more than 200 yards or it will be wet.

On The Green The green is also very tricky as it slopes towards the water in front of it.

From The Fairway If you can hit a 210 to 220 yard shot off the tee with quite a bit of elevation then you can go for the green on your drive.

On The Green If you don’t have enough elevation you will usually hit the trees guarding the green from the tee box and end up in a ditch guarded by several trees, making your second shot to the green very difficult.

From The Tee The #2 handicap hole on the course. Depending on where the tee markers are placed, this hole’s distance ranges from 165 to 190 yards.

From The Fairway Kill Creek is on the left, pine trees line the right side of the fairway and the green is fairly small and domed.

On The Green A par seems more like a birdie on this hole.

From The Tee This par 5 is the longest hole on the course. The hole doglegs to the left so a draw off the tee box is the best option if you hit your driver more than 230 yards.

From The Fairway Just don’t draw if to much because several trees and Kill Creek line the left side of the fairway. There is also out of bounds to the right.

On The Green

From The Tee This hole is similar to #4. If you are going to aim towards the green you will need to have some elevation on your tee shot.

From The Fairway An elevated 240 yard shot puts you on or near the green.

On The Green Otherwise, there is room to hit your tee shot right of the trees but out of bounds looms if you go too far right.

From The Tee Another tricky and long par three that usually plays into a prevailing south wind. Out of Bounds to the right and trees to the left but a fairly straightforward green and one of the larger ones on the course.

From The Tee Another very unique hole. You look at the yardage on the scorecard and think the par 5 listing is a misprint, but look out! Again, you are usually playing this hole into a prevailing south wind. The first decision you need to make is whether you are laying up short of the creek about 175 yards from the tee box, or are you going to try and hit a wood over the creek.

From The Fairway If you lay up you want to hit your 160 to 165 yard club to the right side of the fairway. Then hit a 110 to 125 yard shot just short and left of the pond that guards the green. This will leave you around a 100 yard shot to the green that is guarded by 2 trees on the left and water front and right.

On The Green If you want to try and clear the creek on your drive you need to hit it accurately between 200 and 250 yards. This will leave you a 100 to 150 yard shot over water into the well guarded green.

On The Green You will be left with a tricky short shot into an elevated green.

From The Fairway Another dangerous par three with water guarding the green if your tee ball is short or right. Again, better to hit long if you are going to miss the green.

From The Tee Danger is lurking! If you’re not careful you can post a big number on this hole. Water is in front of this slanted green and trees guard the right side.

From The Fairway If you are going to miss on your tee shot, miss left, and the ball will land on the dam and roll towards the green.

On The Green DO NOT BE LONG or you will have an almost impossible chip shot with the green slanting away from you. This is by far the trickiest green on the course.

From The Tee A short par four and not too difficult if you hit a straight tee ball.

From The Fairway The fairway slopes left to right and trees line the right side of this hole so better to hit your tee shot to the left side of the fairway.

On The Green This will leave you a short approach shot into a slightly elevated green.

From The Tee Our Signature Hole! The only true island green in the Kansas City area. The yardage on this hole ranges from 100 to 125 yards depending on where the tee markers are. The tee box is very elevated so you have to factor in the tricky Kansas wind before you tee off.

On The Green The green is the largest on the course but it can look really small from the tee box. Good Luck!
