Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee The starting hole of the Honors course is a downhill par 4 with O-B on the right and a penalty area on the left.
From The Fairway
On The Green The tee shot allows you to be aggressive if accurate or selectively choose your club to find that favorable yardage coming into the green. With a bunker protecting the left half of the green, it is recommended not to be long or left of center
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee The longest hole on the course, the par 5 calls for a driver off the tee with a demanding 2nd shot just to get close.
From The Fairway Favor the left center of the fairway from the tee box and on your second shot, affording a clear view into this large green complex.
On The Green A high ball flight is required into this green to avoid rolling down the back hill.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee On this tee shot it is recommended to club down to avoid
From The Fairway going into the pond and favor the right side of the fairway. With a bunker left and cart path close to the right,
On The Green an accurate approach shot is required to this narrow, two-tiered green. Avoid going long
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee Similar to hole #3 club down to avoid going O-B, a good aiming point from this tee box is just left of the 150 yard stake.
From The Fairway A forced carry off the tee with marsh protecting the entire right side of this hole, finding the fairway is the key for staying out of trouble.
On The Green Rated the hardest hole on the golf course this approach shot is guarded by marsh in front of the green and a bunker on the left.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee With the wetlands from tee to green, a solid shot is required on this challenging hole.
From The Fairway
On The Green There is little room for error with a small front bunker and surrounding trees. Do your best to avoid the bowl on the front of the green for an easier two putt.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee With the tight tee shot on this par 4, an accurate long iron or hybrid is required to stay short of the penalty area.
From The Fairway This fairway is guarded by O-B on the left and a penalty area on the right. Once ready to get over the penalty area, the trick to this green is finding the center and avoiding the front trap.
On The Green
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee On this tight driving hole, going with driver is not always the wise play as it is difficult to get home in two.
From The Fairway Lay up to the 100-yard marker to avoid the narrowing fairway and well-placed bunkers. One of the smaller greens but flatter than most.
On The Green
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee This demanding par 3 is all carry over the pond. Staying below the hole would be wise.
From The Fairway
On The Green
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway The best tee position on this dog leg left, would be right center of the fairway.
On The Green Too much club could mean O-B right, left or long on your approach shot. Avoid the two deep bunkers surrounding the green to end your nine on a good note.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee This short par 5 opens up an opportunity to score.
From The Fairway
On The Green Avoiding the righthand side is key with a penalty area right of the tee shot changing to O-B as you approach the green. When looking at the depth of this two-tiered green it may appear easy to hit, but you will notice how narrow it is as you approach.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee The shortest par 3 on the Honors.
From The Fairway
On The Green The large green slopes back to front with bunkers closing off the righthand side. Be sure you have enough club to cross the marsh
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee This hole can be played two different ways.
From The Fairway A long iron off the tee allows for more fairway, but a longer 2nd shot in. The other option would be taking a wood off the tee with precise accuracy. This fairway cannot be missed right due to the penalty area parallel. If missed left, O-B will come into play.
On The Green Another forced carry is required on this approach with a mammoth green side bunker and penalty area surrounding the back side.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee Too much club could result in a water ball. Favor the right side of the tee as the landing area slopes left.
From The Fairway
On The Green This uphill approach over a small creek is not the hard part. The subtle movement will test your putting skills. Keep the creek in mind when reading the green.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee Most of the fairway is not visible from the tee box. Not an easy birdie hole, it is recommended to favor right of the 150-marker allowing the hill to feed your ball onto the fairway.
From The Fairway
On The Green Be cautious of the penalty area on the left as it sneaks back towards the fairway and runs parallel through the green. This large green slopes towards a protective bunker just left of the green.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee An elevated tee shot severely guarded by marsh on the
From The Fairway left and bunkers just right of the fairway is one of the best views on the Honors course. A long tee ball is rewarded with a flat landing zone,
On The Green so let it rip. Avoiding the penalty area running parallel to the green will open up a scoring opportunity coming down the stretch.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee One wants to be accurate on this 187-yard hole. Not short. Not left, nor right.
From The Fairway
On The Green Just accurate. Over hanging branches protect this right side of the shallow green.
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee Walking up to the tee of this beautiful hole, Crooked Lake just beyond the flag stick creates a Scenic back drop.
From The Fairway
On The Green This green is protected by a front left bunker and another wrapping the backside of the green
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee To paraphrase Arthur Hills the “Fun starts here”. Crooked lake guards the entire left side of this hole. The long par 4 requires a lot of attention on the approach.
From The Fairway
On The Green With the large bunker protecting the front right and a sloping green from right to left. It is key to hit the center of the green. This defining finishing hole has determined many outcomes of competitive play.
