From The Tee From the No 2 tee, players must hit across a grass filled valley onto an undulating fairway. It is flanked on the right by a bank of pine trees which are out of bounds.
From The Fairway On the left of the fairway the bank slopes down very steeply to the 1st fairway behind another bank of pines.
On The Green Most players generally employ a wood when teeing off and look to place the ball at the crest of the hill with about 100m of downhill onto the green.
From The Fairway From the No 3 tee located just on the south side of the club house, players must hit up a slightly uphill undulating fairway. It is flanked on the right by the 4th fairway and on the left by a ditch and lightly treed area. The fairway slopes down to the left and short pitched drives will often roll to the left.
From The Tee From the No 4 tee the green is unable to be seen and anyone waiting to tee off behind other players must wait for the clearance bell to be rung by the group in front, so as to ensure that the green is clear of players.
From The Fairway The rise in the fairway is approximately 100m from the green and the fairway has a reasonable slope towards the 3rd fairway on the right.
On The Green Aiming to the left side of the fairway will result in a roll towards both the centre of the fairway and the green itself once past the rise. In summer it is common for balls to roll onto and over the back of the smallish green.
From The Tee From the No 5 tee, players generally use a wood to hit towards the rise directly in front.
From The Fairway The entire fairway on the left is flanked by pine trees which are hazard all the way up ! On the right of the fairway the pine trees shield the 6th fairway and if you end up over there you have to play up that fairway.
On The Green The green is small and sloping back down the fairway.
From The Tee From the No 6 tee, players generally use a wood or good iron to hit towards the base of the hill past the pine trees.
From The Fairway The entire fairway on the left is flanked by conifers which are out of bounds all the way down. On the right of the fairway the pine trees are no longer out of bounds but it is no advantage to be among them.
On The Green The green is small and sloping both to the left and right. This hole is relatively short but very difficult.
From The Tee Named “Hurricane Alley” the 8th tee can be a wild spot in a strong northerly. Most players seek to send their ball straight down the fairway whilst some endeavour to hit over the pines and straight at the green.
From The Fairway The fairway slopes to the left and in dry weather the balls will often track down into the pine hazard on the left.
On The Green Smart golfers aim to the right and look to run the ball down towards the green.
From The Tee From the No 9 tee, players generally use a medium iron to hit towards the green with an emphasis on aiming to the area right of the green consisting of two mounds.
