Hole 1
Hole Name Outward Bound
From The Tee Straight down to Hukataia Road, out of bounds on right hand side and nice easy start to the course. Two small bunkers on left and one front right.
From The Fairway
On The Green Green slopes deceptively from right to left and front to back.
Hole 2
Hole Name The Bridge
From The Tee Call over hole. Elevated green with a view of the Waioeka Bridge from the tee, 2 small bunkers guard left and right.
From The Fairway
On The Green Out of bounds on the right and tight behind the green. Best to carry all the way to green but don’t be long!.
Hole 3
Hole Name Waioeka
From The Tee Dog leg right. A reasonable drive to carry the hill, keeping left leaves easy shot into the green.
From The Fairway Water hazard along first third of fairway on right hand side, mature trees cut into fairway, small bunker on left and right hand side of green.
On The Green Out of bounds behind green.
Hole 4
Hole Name Woodlands
From The Tee Longer par 4, slightly dog leg left, mature trees both sides, but trees left are trouble.
From The Fairway
On The Green Stay middle to right for a better shot to the green. Borrow is gently right to left towards the gully.
Hole 5
Hole Name The Elm
From The Tee
From The Fairway Tree lined fairway ending with a long narrow green, danger for bigger hitters going too far left and into the Donga.
On The Green Green rises from front to back.
Hole 6
Hole Name The Donga
From The Tee Elevated tee down to green at bottom of natural amphitheatre, sloping green dictates placement below the pin. Best to keep below the hole! Long and wide, left especially leaves a challenging chip.

Hole 7
Hole Name The Gums
From The Tee Dog leg right across water hazard from elevated tee, large trees guard left corner.
From The Fairway
On The Green A good drive across the right hand side corner (wall of large bamboo) can make this hole shorter, but stray right and the ball is out of bounds. Stay out of the orchard! Oval green with gentle slope left to right.
Hole 8
Hole Name Sunny's
From The Tee
From The Fairway Fairway slopes gently upwards, large conifers guard the right. A long narrow green, sited on a plateau, a challenge to reach the pin when positioned at back but a 'messy' end for those that over club.
On The Green
Hole 9
Hole Name Hikutaia
From The Tee
From The Fairway Mature trees guard both sides of fairway, pohutukawa trees on left give magnificent flower display in November/ December. Fairway slopes from middle to right into stand of pines along edge of hill for first half.
On The Green A nasty slice will likely mean playing down the 14th to the bottom of the hill and then across the internal out of bounds to the green back up the hill. Internal out of bounds along right for those that stray on second shot and on approach shot to green. Ball feeds down to green from slope on lef
Hole 10
Hole Name 1st View
From The Tee
From The Fairway Straight down, mature trees both sides, with fairway sloping left to right.
On The Green Enjoy the magnificent view with smoking White Island out to sea. Good sized green but can be tricky to hold your ball sloping right to left.
Hole 11
Hole Name The Drag
From The Tee Deceptively easy hole, fairway sloping left, until final third when a ball too far left will have you playing the 6th (the Donga) all over again! Good size green with slope from right to towards the front left corner.

Hole 12
Hole Name Up & Over
From The Tee Straight up and over the hill to the green situated only metres from out of bounds on left. Out of bounds all down left hand side, but longer hitters should stay in the middle as a good drive to the right may find the internal out of bounds area

Hole 13
Hole Name Acacia Valley
From The Tee Stay right to avoid the trees and out of bounds on the left. The circular green is bordered by slopes falling away sharply to the left and rear of the green. Over the green will likely result in your ball rolling out of bounds especially in summer. The green falls gently right to left.

Hole 14
Hole Name The Wrecker
From The Tee Our signature hole, a good card until now could be ruined by the out of bounds on the left and stand of pines (play the lie!) on the right and out of bounds on the right.
From The Fairway With some luck a slice into the pine stand should see your ball roll back down onto the fairway. It requires a well-positioned second shot to stay on the right to left sloping fairway.
On The Green Again stay right approaching longish, elevated green. It’s all trouble left and behind the green! Ball will feed down off the slope on left of green.
Hole 15
Hole Name Roughs
From The Tee A long narrow green guarded by shallow bunker in front and two on the right hand side. Stroke 18 for men but not as easy as it looks. Out of bounds all along left. Don’t be short and don’t be long! Can be especially challenging in the wind and prudent club choice is needed be it into the wind (northerly) or with it ( a southerly). Pin positioning, back or front, dramatically changes how the hole p

Hole 16
Hole Name Kukumoa
From The Tee
From The Fairway Nice wide fairway, with out of bounds on left. Large pine and macrocarpa trees guard the No 8 fairway.
On The Green A large, gently tiered green, with small bunkers front left and right. Don’t be long as the back of the green falls away sharply into out of bounds area.
Hole 17
Hole Name Homeward bound
From The Tee
From The Fairway Nice avenue of trees down left and right but good wide fairway, straight to the green - be careful not to over club, as it is not easy to come back out of the Donga, north from the trees down the left side of green.
On The Green
Hole 18
Hole Name Shot Over
From The Tee Final hole but you need to hit well or you'll end up playing the 6th (Donga) again!. Avoid totara tree on right, a good draw needs to carry this, although large green makes an easy target. The green has a good right to left slope (towards the Donga naturally!).
