From The Tee This hole is a wonderful start to your day on the Links.

From The Fairway Depending on the tee of choice, a large pond borders the right side of the fairway approximately 200 yards off the tee, and just beyond the pond sharing the same side of the fairway are two strategically placed bunkers.

On The Green Don’t be errant right on the second shot or water surely awaits you, but lots of room to the left from the dog leg to the green.

From The Tee Depending on the tee, average players will hit probably be hitting anywhere from a mid to a firm short iron to make the green.

From The Fairway Be accurate though, water awaits you on the right and the course out of bounds on the left.

On The Green But even hitting the green is not a guarantee as this tiered green is one of the largest on the course.

From The Fairway Bordered by the townhouse development of the Osprey Links Sub-Division to the left and mounding and moguls to the right, hitting a good drive down the middle of the fairway will normally leave the golfer a long wedge to short mid-iron into a green defended with bunkers to the right and mounds to the left.

On The Green Trying to shorten the hole by staying left off the tee could be rewarded with a long bunker shot into the green, or worse, out of bounds that defends the private homeowners property.

From The Fairway Safe to hit driver off the tee, but be wary of the pond just over the rise and that skirts the right side of the fairway and is reachable off the tee.

On The Green At the same time be aware of the out of bounds that protects more homes situated along the left boundary of the fairway.

From The Tee Again safe to hit a driver off the tee, the fairway is guarded by water on the right.

From The Fairway Lots of room to the left, but if you do hit it too long, there is a risk of hitting an unseen pond on the left fringe of the fairway nearing the green.

On The Green The second shot is pretty much blind into a slightly elevated and green protected by sand across the front. Hitting the green leaves putting on again one of the largest greens on the course.

From The Tee

From The Fairway Some will try to go for the green, but with a pond, sharp ledge and a trap protecting a very narrow green from this approach, risk reward says this may not be the best course of action.

On The Green A well struck mid-iron aimed to just inside the 100 yard marker will yield a safe wedge into the green from a respective angle.

From The Fairway The green is not reachable from the tee so but a driver or well struck fairway wood sets up a short iron or wedge for your second shot.

On The Green But pay attention to where the flag is situated, as this large tiered green demands accuracy for the second shot. Putting from the wrong level renders an easy 3 putt and being above the hole is also a recipe for disaster.

From The Tee The green is well guarded with water on the right.

From The Fairway

On The Green Just like other holes, pay attention to where the flag is as this is another tiered green and getting on the wrong tier, especially above the hole will leave a nail biter for the putt.

From The Fairway It’s safe to hit a driver off the tee, but be aware of the water to the left and fairway bunkers to the right, as they are all in play to take any errant drive left or right.

On The Green The second shot demands concentration to distance as the green is well elevated, with no opportunity to roll on.

Hole 10

Hole Name

From The Tee From the tee, there is a slight uphill elevation, straight away, so go ahead, hit the driver, but hit it straight as woods grab errant shots on both the left and right.

From The Fairway From the top of the rise, you are still over 250 yards from the green so hit what you need, but again accuracy is required as woods await errant shots to the left, and some extreme rough to the right.

On The Green Most of us will be hitting a wedge into a large green for our third shot.

From The Tee Normally it calls for a well struck mid-iron off the tee, but hit it straight.

From The Fairway The hole is guarded by water for its length along the right and woods to the left.

On The Green And the Canadian Shield provides a wonderful rock wall surrounding the green for both a stunning view and formidable obstacle.

Hole 12

Hole Name

From The Tee Guarded by woods on both sides of this narrow fairway, leave the driver in the bag and plan to hit a fairway or long iron to the top of the landing zone, ideally 180 yards out.

From The Fairway Don’t hit it far enough off the tee and you will have a blind second shot into a narrow green that is 50 yards below you and well guarded by traps.

On The Green Hit it too far, and you are hitting your second shot from an very uncomfortable downhill lie.

Hole 13

Hole Name

From The Tee Pretty safe to hit driver off the tee on this hole, you will want to stay as tight to the left tree line to avoid driving through the fairway on the right beyond the dog leg.

From The Fairway A well struck drive will get you to the hundred yard marker or beyond, but as you approach your ball be sure to check out where the pin is because the closer to the elevate green, the more difficult it is to determine pin location.

On The Green But regardless of your drive, pay attention to the bunkers on both the left and right that protect the green.

Hole 14

Hole Name

From The Tee Longer hitters will want to avoid hitting a driver off the tee to avoid the risk of driving through the fairway to the left.

From The Fairway Trying to hit a long drive along the right tree line also normally ends up poorly as the dog leg turns late.

On The Green Best to hit a long fairway wood and get to the 150 yard fairway marker for a flat lie for your second shot. This placement also renders a good look at the green that is nestled into the woods and defended by a large bunker.

From The Tee Great hole for a wager for closest to the pin within your group.

From The Fairway

On The Green From an elevated tee, you will be hitting a short iron or wedge to the green at the bottom of a fairly steep slope. Careful though, the shot can be deceiving as the green is well guarded with bunkers and sometimes what you expect to be an easy shot, is not!

From The Tee Lots of room to hit the driver off the tee, but a small outcropping of trees bordering the right fairway and a tongue of the Canadian Shield licks the same side of the fairway demanding long hitters keep it straight.

From The Fairway Your second shot demands accuracy as trees tighten both sides of the fairway which is also beginning to elevate to the green. The green is tucked well against the bush line to the right and is protected by sand.

On The Green Hitting the green in two is difficult and given both its proximity to the woods and its tiered nature, might not be worth the risk. Better to play your second shot safe and position yourself for a shot pitch making sure you get the ball to the proper tier and as close to the pin as possible.

Hole Name

From The Tee Although most play from the mid-tee, the challenge and view of the green from the top tee is exhilarating.

From The Fairway

On The Green The green is well guarded by both water and sand, plus add the challenge of a narrow and long green, this hole demands accurate shot making to score.

Hole 18

Hole Name

From The Tee Probably lots of room to hit a driver, and for the really big hitters rolling inside the 100 yard marker for your second shot is not unheard of.

From The Fairway But beware, from the 200 yard marker in, the hole is uphill and the green is both slightly elevated and tiered.

On The Green And it’s also not unheard of to drive through the fairway on the right an find yourself behind a tree … or worse!
