Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee The opening hole is a challenging par 4.
From The Fairway Both sides of the fairway are lined with trees which are ready to catch any wayward tee shots.
On The Green From the men's white tees a good drive will require a mid to low iron second which needs to be accurately struck to reach the green in regulation. A steep bank to the left of the green will punish a wide approach. From the ladies' tee place your drive down the right side of the fairway to get a better position for your second to the green. Those with a large drive will easily reach the hill and ro
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee The second hole is a tight driving hole.
From The Fairway Accuracy off the tee will be rewarded with an unimpeded second shot into a moderately sized green protected by a massive bunker on the front left of the green, a beautiful new shaped green with lots of pin placements. From the ladies' tee a local golfer recommends you line your tee shot up with the radio tower in the distance. Over the back of the green means a certain six or worse! This is a blin

Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee A challenging hole, demanding both accuracy and length off the tee.
From The Fairway This hole often plays into a stiff breeze and requires two very well struck shots to reach the green in regulation. Lucky ladies, this is a par 5 for us! Keep the tee shot to the right so the gum tree on the left does not impede your second shot (that goes for the men, too!).

Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee This shortish par-5 is a dog leg to the right -
From The Fairway a long drive down the centre will tempt the longer hitter to go for the green with his (or her) second shot. Mere mortals however would be well advised to avoid Lake Wakatipu to the left of the fairway & a large pond to the right. A birdie is on offer here! But regular users of this hole tend to hold back with the second shot with a shorter, more controlled iron, knowing it is easily reached in th
On The Green
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee This dramatic par 4 is undoubtedly our most spectacular hole.
From The Fairway With Lake Wakatipu framing the left side of the fairway that doglegs to the left. With a well struck drive the men can carry the lake and reduce the length of your approach shot,
On The Green but any missed timed drives will definitely result in a wet ball. We recommend you take one extra club to the two leveled green. The ladies have a tee advantage for this par 4 and therefore can play a straight shot up the centre, but for you big hitters, do not hesitate to line your shot over the rock and tree along the left of this hole.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee Accomplished players will be thinking birdie on this hole.
From The Fairway A driver off the men's tee to a wide fairway leaves the golfer with a short iron approach to a moderate sized green.
On The Green But most men hold back on their drive use a lower wood - to avoid the bunkers straight ahead. The best drive is a fade at the right hand trap visible from the tee. Ladies take that advice, too. Approach shots should come in from the left side of the green - lots of roll left to right.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee A uphill par 3 with a deceptively long two tiered green,
From The Fairway where an under clubbed shot will either leave you an exceptionally long putt or a difficult chip shot - and beware the putt from the top tier to the bottom tier. Bunker on right in front of the rock.
On The Green
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee A challenging hole, demanding accuracy off the tee and a strong iron or wood to reach the green,
From The Fairway avoiding the sand trap on the right along the way. The drive should be aimed well up the right hand side of the fairway. Ladies, this is our second hole with an extra stroke - Par 5 for us!
On The Green
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee Line up for the trio of tall trees behind the bunkers as this hole doglegs to the right over the hill.
From The Fairway With breathtaking views of Lake Wakatipu the approach shot to this green is a daunting task. It is recommended that you use one less club than the distance would suggest.
On The Green The ninth green - raised and sloping away severely on both sides and to the back it is essential to be accurate here or face the consequence!
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee Possibly the most deceptive hole on the course,
From The Fairway the 10th hole is a 110 metre par three that at a glance may seem simple, but club selection can be very difficult and will vary considerably with weather conditions, and with the variety of tee level options that the greenskeeper has to choose from.
On The Green The pond on left of green will greet the golfer who strays left of the green. A simply gorgeous little hole that is a test in the same mould as Pebble Beach's 7th.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee The out of bounds down the right hand side places additional pressure on the tee shot for this demanding Par 5.
From The Fairway
On The Green The longer hitters will have to make a decision with their second shot because of the bunker right of the green. Stay down the middle on this hole!
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee One of the more demanding par fours on the golf course.
From The Fairway Dense trees on the right hand side of the fairway will catch a man's drive trying to cut off too much of the dogleg. The strength of this hole however, comes from the demanding second shot. Women should line their tee shot up with the right side of the opening ahead. Your drive will roll very left from what you would expect.
On The Green This green provides a very difficult target, requiring an accurate approach both in terms of length and direction. After your second shot ring the bell on the gum tree on the left to tell the next group that it is all clear on this blind hole.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee Any shot missing the green will challenge the golfer's short game,
From The Fairway
On The Green both in terms of skill and imagination. Some tricky pin positions usually see the golfer playing too short. The bank at the back of the green will act as a suitable backstop so be up!
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee One of the shorter par fours on the golf course.
From The Fairway Dense trees on the right hand side of the fairway will catch the drive trying to cut off too much of the corner. So stay left with your teeshot . . .
On The Green AND stay left of the green with your approach shot, lots of left to right roll.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee Another demanding driving hole in terms of positioning the ball
From The Fairway for the shot to the green with the left half of the fairway offering the more favourable line.
On The Green A new green with lots of slope is part of the test - only a finely hit pitch will hold this wonderful new hole protected by a huge bunker and pond.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee A genuine three shot par five for all but the long hitters.
From The Fairway Although the fairway appears generous from the tee, the large trees which guard the right of the fairway will reduce the options for the second shot for anything played right of centre from the tee. Ladies can shout for joy when they see how much further up the hill their tee is located. But it's still only an easy par 5 for the long hitting women.
On The Green The approach shot to the multi-leveled green must be precise. Trees surround the sides and back of the green will penalise the errant approach. A new and very long green so be sure of your clubbing on the approach. Recommendation - add one.
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee The tee shot requires a well struck iron or
From The Fairway even fairway club to reach the green. With the landing area left / right and behind fully protected by water the tee shot can be short but definitely not off line. Bunkers on left and right.
On The Green
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee A straight away dogleg left par five.
From The Fairway The preferred line for the tee shot is down the left hand side as close to the trees as you dare. The longer hitters will have to make a decision with their second shot because of the bunker short of the right side of the green. Finding the trees down the right hand side of the fairway will make par difficult to achieve.
