Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee The first hole is a short dogleg right. You don’t have to kill a driver here. It’s your second shot that counts.
From The Fairway
On The Green Although the green is not protected by any sand traps, you won’t want your second shot to be short or right.
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee Although this hole is short, it can be much harder than it looks with water in the front,
From The Fairway
On The Green a sloped putting green and plenty of O-B surrounding your target. If you’re unsure of what club to hit, you may want to club down.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee This is a long par four with a humped green. Many golfers would be happy to walk away with a bogey on this hole.
From The Fairway
On The Green A long drive will reward you with a much friendlier second shot. However, balls tend to run off this green in all directions due to the design.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee This is a short par four. Don’t let the trees on the left or the water on the right get into your head.
From The Fairway
On The Green You don’t have to blast one from the tee box here. Just keep your tee shot in play and club up on your second shot to counter the green’s elevation.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee This hole is another short par four.
From The Fairway It may be time to leave your driver in the bag and select a fairway wood or iron.
On The Green There is O-B on both the right and left. Using your driver will reward you with a short chip shot. However, missing it will mean you’re hitting your third shot from the same spot.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee This hole is your first par five of the day. Avoid the O-B on the right and be mindful of the pin placement with your third shot.
From The Fairway
On The Green The front half of the green is steeply sloped and you do not want a down hill putt.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee This hole is a longer par four but can be reached in two with a couple of nice shots.
From The Fairway
On The Green There are sand traps on both the right and left of the green, which are not visible when taking your second shot.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee The next two holes are friendly par fours. If you’re having a bad day it’s time to make up a few strokes. If you’re having a great round you can breathe easy.
From The Fairway
On The Green Although short, the green is significantly elevated and there are sand traps on both the right and left.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee The large tree on the left and the two large trees on the right may hinder your drive. If you know how to fade your driver it will reward you on this hole. Avoid the front trap to the left at all costs.

On The Green
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee The green is hidden behind the tree line on left.
From The Fairway Long ball hitters may want to keep their driver in their bag and pull out a fairway or utility wood. This is another high-risk high reward hole.
On The Green Hugging the tree line on the left may leave you with a short chip shot to the green. However, if you leave your tee shot short, your second shot may be blocked by the trees. A safer tee shot is aiming slightly to the right, which will leave you an angle to the green unimpeded by trees.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee This hole is a long par five that bends to the left. However,
From The Fairway make sure your tee shot is not too far to the left as the fairway slopes to the woods and the tree line may hinder your second shot. Also, don’t get too greedy. You’re not going to get there in two. Know your yardage and just leave yourself an easy shot of a hundred yards or less for your third shot.
On The Green
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee Most members would agree that this hole is one of the harder holes on the course.
From The Fairway
On The Green You’ll want your tee shot to be slightly right to ensure the trees aren’t blocking your second shot. Although this hole has a large green, it is not easy hit it in two. Take just a moment to enjoy the scenic view of the river and nature on the left. You’ll be glad you did.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee One of the easier holes on the back nine as long as you don’t pull your tee shot left.
From The Fairway
On The Green Once again, you’ll get a great view of one of the many rivers surrounding Sauganash Country Club when you walk up to the green.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee Originally, this hole was a par four when the back nine was built in the early 70’s.
From The Fairway
On The Green It was a dogleg left and you can still see the raised ground from the old tee box when leaving #13. This long par three frustrates many people, and it isn’t as easy to hit the green as it looks.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee This hole is another one of the toughest holes on the course. Be happy if you bogie the hole and just move on. Things can easily take a turn for the worse on this hole.
From The Fairway
On The Green The edge of the fairway has a very steep slope on the left so keep right. The green is the most difficult on the course. Unless you’re putting straight up at the cup, there aren’t too many easy putts. Your ability to read greens and the break will show here.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee A short par three with an elevated
From The Fairway
On The Green green and a pond to carry. Take an extra club and good luck!
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee A long par five with O-B the entire way to the green on the left.
From The Fairway
On The Green Once again, you’re not going to get there in two and you don’t need to be too aggressive to get to the green in three. Once again, your ability to read greens will show on this hole.
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee Hopefully you have enjoyed your experience at Sauganash. Unfortunately, all good things must come to and end. It’s time for your last hole. Nothing is hidden here. There are trees on the left and a forest on the right. If you hit your driver straight you’ll be rewarded with a shorter chip shot. You may choose to play it safe and leave yourself a 100-125 shot in. Thanks for playing and come see us
