Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee This narrow, opening par 5 requires precision off of the tee.
From The Fairway Avoid the hidden lake just short of the green on the left and the deep bunker guarding the right side of the green. Find the fairway off of the tee and you may start your round with an opening birdie.
On The Green Avoid the hidden lake just short of the green on the left and the deep bunker guarding the right side of the green. Find the fairway off of the tee and you may start your round with an opening birdie.
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee This short, sharp dogleg to the left requires a lay-up to the top of the hill.
From The Fairway Beware of the small, deep bunkers on the corner of the bend and the bunker through the fairway on top of the hill. A nicely shaped right-to-left tee shot will set you up for another birdie to open your round.
On The Green
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee The beginning of a tough stretch of holes, this benign looking par 3 can be a tough par.
From The Fairway
On The Green It’s length and the green’s false edges are sure to test your short game. A shot to the middle of the green would be ideal to assure your par, but the slope running back to front requires great touch and accuracy to get your putt close.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee Ranked the toughest hole on the course,
From The Fairway hole 4 requires an accurate tee shot as out-of-bounds stakes line both sides of the fairway. One bad swing will have you reaching in your bag for a provisional.
On The Green The green is slightly elevated and narrow. Miss the green flag high left or right and a high, soft pitch soft will be required to get your ball up-and-down. When the pin is on the back side of the green, par is a great score.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee The members will tell you that hole 5 arguably plays as the toughest hole on the course.
From The Fairway This long, daunting par 4 features an extreme dogleg to the right with tall pines and out-of-bounds guarding the right side of the dogleg.
On The Green A nice, high, left-to-right shaped tee shot can set you up for a birdie. Beware of the lake on the left side of the dogleg as an errant tee shot to the left is sure to find the hazard. A good drive that doesn’t curve right may find the trees through the dogleg. A lay-up to the corner is not a bad option off of the tee but will leave you a long approach shot. The two-tiered green helps to hold long
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee Watch out for the lake on the left and the out-of-bounds on the right.
From The Fairway
On The Green Big hitters will hit driver over the corner of the lake which can set you up for a short wedge into the green. A long iron off of the tee will assure that you stay short of the pond but leaves a longer approach shot into the green. With a front/middle pin, this can be a birdie hole. With the pin in the back, par is a good score as the green gets very narrow.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee This shorter par 3 requires a fairly straight mid-iron off of the tee.
From The Fairway
On The Green Water surrounds the right and back sides of the green and a bunker guards the green on the left. Leave with a par and you will be a happy camper.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee This shorter par 4 is relatively open off of the tee box.
From The Fairway Trees line the fairway on the left and out-of-bounds can come into play on the right side of the hole.
On The Green The green is tricky to read and hard to get the ball close to the hole. A birdie here is do-able. Those that choose to play the back tee-box behind the lake are in for a tough par. The blind tee shot leaves you wondering where to hit it. Even the long hitters will have a long approach shot to a small, tricky green.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee Tee it high and let it fly! This uphill par 5 has a fairly wide landing area off of the tee.
From The Fairway
On The Green Beware of the lake guarding the left side of your approach shot and the bunker in front of the green. An accurate layup/approach shot can give you another opportunity to get a shot back. An errant layup will have your scrambling for par.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee The start of the back nine features a slightly downhill par 4.
From The Fairway The fairway is relatively wide but a large pond on the right and a well-placed greenside bunker on the left requires an accurate approach shot.
On The Green The green is severely sloped from back to front so don’t miss the green long. An accurate approach shot can lead to another birdie.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee Another uphill par 5, hole number 11 is another opportunity to get a shot back.
From The Fairway A fairway bunker guards the right side of the fairway, but long hitters can carry this bunker with ease. After the bunker, the fairway widens to allow for an aggressive swing off of the tee
On The Green . The narrow green requires an accurate approach shot. Missing the green left leaves a tough up-and-down, while missing right is no gimmie either. A high, soft pitch will be required on either side of the green.
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee This long par 3 features one of the best back-drops in the region.
From The Fairway
On The Green This downhill tee-shot offers a picturesque view of Scotts Bluff National Monument and the cities of Scottsbluff and Gering in the distance. Beware of the trio of small bunkers guarding this left to right sloped green. Missing left is no good as everything runs away from you. Par here is a good score.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee This narrow par 4 requires an accurate tee shot as the right rough is heavily wooded and the left side of
From The Fairway the fairway is lined with out-of-bounds stakes.
On The Green The elevated green has a ridge that runs through the middle of the back side of the green and a bunker guards the left side of the green. A good drive will lead to a short wedge into a slightly elevated green.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee Often referred to as the “Corn-Hole,” hole 14 is a short par 4 that doglegs sharply to the left around a corn field. A layup to the corner leaves you an 150 yard approach shot but precision is required as big Pines guard the left side of the dogleg. Big hitters may want to wait until the green clears as a nice, aggressive drive can leave you with a chance to make an eagle.
From The Fairway Pull it left off of the tee or mishit the tee shot slightly, you’ll be reaching in your bag to hit a provisional. Beware of the tall Poplar trees that line the left side of the fairway as they can catch your ball or bounce it back into the corn field.
On The Green Avoid the bunker guarding the front, right side of the green and you will walk off the green with a decent score.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee The longest par 5 on the course, hole 15 requires an
From The Fairway accurate tee shot as out-of-bounds lingers just off of the left fairway all the way to the green. A heavily wooded right side,
On The Green often referred to as “Sherwood Forest,” will have your punching your ball back into the fairway. A strategically placed fairway bunker guards the lay-up zone and a big, greenside bunker guards the right side of the green. Par is a great score on this long par 5.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee This longer par 4 features a subtle, left to right dogleg around “Sherwood Forest.”
From The Fairway Miss your tee shot to the right and you’ll be punching your ball back to fairway.
On The Green The two-tiered, elevated green has a steep slope that runs through the middle of the green. Leave your approach shot short of the hole and you’ll be putting up the hill for your birdie. Miss the green long and you will struggle to get the ball up-and-down.
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee The shortest par 3 on the course, hole 17 has a large lake that guards the left and back sides of the green. Miss your tee-shot to the left and you will be sure to find the hazard.
From The Fairway
On The Green The slightly elevated green has a grassy knoll guarding the right side that makes an errant tee shot to the right tough to get up-and-down. There is nothing wrong with a par on this short par 3.
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee This closing par 4 climbs back up the hill towards the clubhouse.
From The Fairway The fairway is narrow for shorter hitters and widens up for the longer hitters. Miss your tee shot left or right and you may be punching out from the trees.
On The Green You cannot see the green or the bunkers guarding both sides of the green on your approach shot. An accurate iron will allow you to finish your round with a par.
