On The Green You will normally have a side hill stance for your 2nd shot, so aiming again a little to the right with one more club than the yardage would suggest would be good thinking here. When playing the tee shot on this hole, take note of the flag position on the 4th green.

From The Tee The challenge continues with this, the first of the par 3’s. At just under 200 yards and with out of bounds down the right and some mixed rough to the left –

On The Green a solid & well directed tee shot will be required. An awkward pitch or chip may be necessary if the green is missed from the tee.

On The Green greenside bunkers left and right and towards the front of the green can catch tee shots slightly wide of the green surface. Shots hit further right or left will require a delicate touch to get up and down, while tee shots coming up short may come back down the slope a little.

From The Tee A par 4 with plenty of space for the tee shot. Like the first, not a particularly long hole and big hitters will find the green in range and a reasonable option.

From The Fairway A large double green is shared with the 18th hole. Care should be taken on the tee to avoid being too close to the few lone trees to the left of the 5th fairway. Some grass mounds also protect the front of the green.

From The Fairway A very wide expanse of sloping fairway greets you from this tee and there is plenty of room to land the tee shot.

On The Green The approach however, is to a small green at the top of a steep slope that is tucked close to the out of bounds, which is over a fence just beyond the back of the green. The green is quite small and requires a well-controlled approach shot to find and hold the putting surface.

From The Fairway a very wide fairway beckons across a small ditch and once the fairway is reached, it only requires a short or medium iron over a second ditch to a

On The Green wonderfully shaped and receptive green. A further ditch lays behind the green to catch any shots that travel too far.

From The Tee The large green on this par 3 provides a large inviting target with just a narrow ditch running at an angle a few yards in front of the green.

On The Green This can be a tricky green to hold on the right side. Grass mounds run to the left and rear of the green and provide a lovely shape to this hole.

From The Fairway A long run of rough frames this fairway closely on both sides all the way to the green,

On The Green and an upslope prevents a view of the green from the tee. There is however, a lot more space to land your tee shot than it would seem when viewed from the back tee. This green is narrow and very long but unprotected for the approach shot.

From The Tee Although in range for big hitters it is a somewhat risky option –

From The Fairway the usual choice for most is to layup short of the burn that crosses the fairway around 90 yards short of the green.

On The Green Find the generous fairway from the tee reasonably well down the fairway for the second shot. Avoid going right or too long on the approach as the grounds slopes steeply away from the green on those sides.

From The Fairway Water and out of bounds runs up the right and heather and long grass are found further up on the left of the fairway.

On The Green The approach shot to the green needs to clear the grass mounds a few yard in front of the green surface, after clearing those there is no further trouble around this very accessible green.

From The Tee Usually the hardest hole on the course, out of bounds over the fence down the right,

On The Green It is quite common to take three shots to get to this green which should be quite straightforward. Avoid missing the green left as that is generally the trickier side to get up and down from.

From The Tee A classic par three for the course, quite unusual in that the tee is situated in an out of bounds area surrounded by trees on three sides.

From The Fairway

On The Green A blind shot over the heather to a reasonable sized but slightly angled green with bunkers protecting right and left. The green also drops off slightly on its rear and right edge.
