This hole plays long, and there is often a strong headwind. It is 425 yards from the back tee box to the green, making it a bogey hole for many members. Try to lay up short of the right bunker if you feel that you can’t clear the fairway.

On The Green Safe players will play left off the tee with a short iron as an approach. Long hitters may carry from the tee to the green or to the left approach area. Beware of the blind pot bunkers and the waste area.

From The Tee Hole 9 is a great hole and is also considered the hardest hole to play on the Front 9. It is the number one handicap hole. It is a 430-yard par four, so you need a good drive on this hole to be able to carry over the water and go to the pin. The water is the big hazard on this hole. On The Green The green has a lot of subtle slopes. Keep the approach shot to the right side of the green and play a little short. The green kicks away from the front with a water hazard on all sides.

From The Fairway 11, play the left side of the fairway – that is where you would like to be after your tee shot.
On The Green Playing slightly left you also avoid being blocked out by the large tree to the right of the green. When you are playing from the back tee box, watch out for errant shots from the 11th tee. It is not uncommon for players to hit the ball off the 11th tee box into the corner.
