Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway Quite a wide opening fairway to hit which is a must because if you don’t it makes for a tough 2nd shot to a green that slopes away front, back and sides.
On The Green
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway With the ball going so far now the fairway bunkers can be easily carried and you have to worry about the water on the right hand side.
On The Green After negotiating that it leaves a delicate pitch to a firm green. All putts on this green seem to break ½ a cup but it is always hard to see.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway
On The Green You must not miss this green long and left as a par is almost out of the question if you do. The right shot here will give you a good chance of a birdie.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee A good par five with generous room off the tee but the 2nd shot is the one you need to hit perfectly.
From The Fairway It is very hard to get on the green in two and short left is the best place to lay up.
On The Green It is nearly impossible to get up and down from the bunkers that are 40 metres from the green. Another good birdie chance here if you play the hole smart.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway The safe play is just a 3 iron or fairway metal down the middle and then a short iron to a long, narrow green.
On The Green Depending on the pin position, it can be another good hole to attack and leave yourself a realistic birdie opportunity.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee This is a terrific Par 3 and hitting your tee shot on the right level is a must given the tier in the green.
From The Fairway
On The Green I have seen many a 3 putt on this green if you are on the wrong level. I am always happy to make a par here.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee Another generous driving hole with the bunkers on the right out of play if you hit a good drive.
From The Fairway The second shot must be left short of the hole as over the back is no good regardless of the pin position.
On The Green A good chance of a birdie or an eagle on this one, but with a poor approach shot you can make a very careless bogey.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee A driveable par 4, even more so when there is a south wind, but the water on the right comes in to play and can turn a easy birdie hole into a bogey.
From The Fairway
On The Green The much safer option is a 3 iron followed by a wedge which should give you a realistic chance of a birdie. The hole can be made a lot tougher when the pin is on the top tier (back left).
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee A very tight driving hole here and the desired shot is a slight fade of the left edge of the fairway.
From The Fairway This should leave you with a mid-iron in to another long, narrow green and a good attempt at a birdie.
On The Green Miss the fairway on this one and you will always struggle to make a four. There is out of bounds far left as well. This can be a very daunting opening tee shot if you start your round from here.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee A very tight driving hole here and the desired shot is a slight fade of the left edge of the fairway.

On The Green Miss the fairway on this one and you will always struggle to make a four. There is out of bounds far left as well. This can be a very daunting opening tee shot if you start your round from here.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee Attack! A generous Par 5 with a very wide fairway and little trouble from the tee.
From The Fairway A good drive can leave a long iron or fairway metal to a relatively flat green surrounded by bunkers.
On The Green I had my one and only albatross on this hole, a 3 wood and 6 iron straight in when it was playing downwind.
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee A very unique Par 3 and one of only three holes that run east-west so you usually encounter a cross wind.
From The Fairway
On The Green There are deep bunkers on all sides of the green, so it is best to aim for the middle of the green and hope for a two putt.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee This is a great driving hole to a blind fairway that runs right to left.
From The Fairway If you hit the fairway it leaves a mid to short iron to a big green that is always hard to hit it close on. If you miss the fairway it makes the job even tougher.
On The Green Don’t miss it in the left greenside trap; it’s a bogey every day of the week if you do.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee Traditionally the toughest hole on the course but with technology it has made it much easier.
From The Fairway A good drive will hit the downslope of the fairway and leave you with a short iron to a well designed green.
On The Green Similar to 13, if you miss the fairway you will struggle to make a par.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee Another driveable Par 4 if you want to chance it and hit a high draw over the corner but the likely result is sand.
From The Fairway The smart play is to hit it to the corner and leave yourself a nice approach in to the narrow green. Offers a great birdie chance late in the round.
On The Green
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee This hole has changed since I first joined the Club but is still a short Par 3 with a small green.
From The Fairway
On The Green A realistic birdie chance but don’t take it for granted or you will walk off with a disappointing bogey.
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee Another tight driving hole and to have any hope in reaching the green in two you need to hit a solid drive.
From The Fairway If you find the middle of the fairway you can either hit a high shot over the tree in the middle of fairway to a green that is well guarded by bunkers short left and right or a low draw to run the ball up to the green.
On The Green The best bail out is short right which leaves a simple pitch up the green.
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway You must avoid missing the fairway left here so a good drive over the corner leaves a simple wedge to the green and hopefully a closing birdie.
