Hole 1

Hole Name The Rock

From The Tee The Rock is the starting hole of the original course, with some upgrades completed in 2018. Wisely select a 3-wood or hybrid off the tee to find the short grass.

From The Fairway However, a bold drive on this dogleg left could leave the long hitter with a short pitch to the green.

On The Green A missed fairway could easily result in tree trouble on either side of the fairway.

Hole 2

Hole Name Three Putt

From The Tee This hole is the toughest par on the front nine. To simply call the putting surface a two-tiered green does not due this intricate green justice.

From The Fairway Each tier features a subtle slope that is very difficult to judge.

On The Green Hitting this green in one shot is an accomplishment, as the intimidation of OB to the right often results in a shot pulled left.

Hole 3

Hole Name Trout Creek

From The Tee This hole requires strategic decisions from tee to green. Those confident enough to clear the ditch 225 yards from the back tee may be able to reach the green in two.

From The Fairway If you opt to lay-up short of the ditch, the difficult decision is then whether to try to clear both the ditch and the creek or lay-up short of the creek on the next shot.

On The Green

Hole Name Ainslie's Vista

From The Tee The feature of this hole is the three-tiered green added behind the site of the original green.

From The Fairway The new, narrower green encourages the player to take a more aggressive line off the tee to achieve the best angle and shortest distance to this challenging target. O-B runs the entire length of the hole on the right.

On The Green

Hole Name Skunk's Hollow

From The Tee This par 3 is one of the most deceptively challenging holes on the golf course.

From The Fairway

On The Green Although the straight-away path to the green is free of obstacles, more often than not you will see balls pulled over the mound left of the green or pushed into the rough on the right.

Hole 6

Hole Name The Willow

From The Tee A magnificent hundred-year-old willow tree guards the inside of this dogleg right par 5.

From The Fairway The optimal drive will find the left side of the fairway, avoiding the willow and a small forest on the right.

On The Green Be mindful of the pin location on this deep putting surface. Ted’s Pond sits long and left of the green, collecting the occasional errant ball.

Hole 7

Hole Name Lofty Brae

From The Tee On this par 3, choosing a club should be made with careful consideration to the elements.

From The Fairway This 150-yard uphill hole is wonderfully unique: a ball hit short will find the hill, making for a tricky up-and-down par.

On The Green Meanwhile, a ball hit over the green puts the player in an even tougher predicament, chipping toward the front of the green.

Hole Name Earl's Guiding Way

From The Tee

From The Fairway

On The Green This par 4 quietly plays over par. Finding the fairway off the tee sets up a second shot over the creek, to the new green that slopes away front and left. A series of bunkers left and right will collect wayward balls.

Hole 9

Hole Name Road Hole

From The Tee This hole was redesigned in 2022 and features a larger green surrounded by new mounding.

From The Fairway With O-B stretching along the right side of the fairway, the prudent golfer will play for accuracy off the tee, landing the ball on the plateau in the fairway that lies 110 to 130 yards from the green.

On The Green

Hole 10

Hole Name Curly's Marsh

From The Tee With a pronounced dogleg left, your tee shot should be hit 175 to 200 yards, leaving a wedge across Trout Creek to the green.

From The Fairway

On The Green The green slopes front-to-back, therefore a high approach shot will have the best chance of holding the putting surface.

Hole 11

Hole Name Moote's Revenge

From The Tee Tee off with your driver but avoid hitting right, as the ball could find Trout Creek.

From The Fairway Position off the tee is critical for your second shot, with Trout Creek on the right and a large pond to the left.

On The Green It’s a great match play hole where players can make anything from an eagle to an X.

Hole 12

Hole Name Stage Fright

From The Tee

From The Fairway Hit your driver without fear, the fairway will serve you well. Pars are also common from the rough, provided that your ball manages to avoid the trees lining each side of the fairway.

On The Green The hole plays its toughest when the north wind blows, bringing the pond, short and left of the green, very much into play.

Hole 13

Hole Name Waghorn's View

From The Tee Swing freely with the driver on this straight-away par 4.

From The Fairway A strong drive can leave a wedge approach to the green and a legitimate chance for birdie.

On The Green From the tee, be mindful of the day’s pin location to setup the best angle for your second shot.

Hole 14

Hole Name Straight Away

From The Tee This shorter par 5 is a true birdie opportunity for long hitters able to stripe their drive down the middle.

From The Fairway A shot to the right can find O-B all the way from tee block to green.

On The Green A pond guards the left-front of the green and a knob protects the central portion, making the angle of your approach an important consideration.

Hole 15

Hole Name Just Not Right

From The Tee The centre of the green of this par 3 is a good target, regardless of the pin location, as the pond in front is very much in play.

From The Fairway This hole becomes a monster from the back tees on days when the hole faces directly into a southerly wind.

On The Green

Hole Name Amen Corner

From The Tee

From The Fairway The secret to reaching the green in two on this downhill par 5 is to make sure your drive finds the rolling slope of the fairway and avoids the grove of trees that protects the green from the long approach.

On The Green The more prudent play is to lay-up down the hill and left, leaving an approach of 60 to 100 yards.

From The Tee This scenic par 3 features mounding, bunkers, and a beautiful waterfall behind the green to better define the target and create a spectacular backdrop.

From The Fairway The undulating putting surface makes for a tough read for most putts. Ensure that you take a moment to enjoy the view.
