From The Tee A relatively short starting hole makes for easy driving although a narrowing

From The Fairway fairway protected on the left by trees and on the right by a fairway bunker can create difficulty.

On The Green Approach to the green is protected by two bunkers at the front a large gully on the left and at the back dropping steeply from the greens edge.

Hole 2

Hole Name Matlock Bank

From The Tee A challenging mid lenth Par 3 with Out of Bounds on the right along the roadside.

From The Fairway

On The Green A bunker situated on the right front and danger on the left from a deep gully that drops off from the green edge make accuracy in direction and distance a must. There is also hidden trouble with a water race running across at the back of the green.

Hole 3

Hole Name Acheron

From The Tee Rated as the hardest hole on the course this hole is a classic three shot Par 5.

From The Fairway A water race runs along the left hand side of this hole, this coupled with a large pine tree on the left and a fairway bunker on the right makes for a difficult tee shot. Second shots must also be played with skill as the fairway narrows and the large pond on the left hand side and mounding and another fairway bunker on the right come into play.

On The Green The approach again requires precision with the green protected on the left by the pond and a bunker short and on the right by the overhang of a large pine and a gully which drops steeply from the greens edge. There is again hidden trouble at the back of the green with another pond.

Hole 4

Hole Name The Kowhais

From The Tee A challenging Par 4 requiring accuracy from the tee as the

From The Fairway left hand side is protected by large trees and the right hand side by Kowhais on the fairway edge and a pond and water race further right.

On The Green Once past these areas there is an open approach to a green protected by bunkers short right, middle left and middle right ready to catch a wayward shot.

Hole Name Arcadia

From The Tee A relatively short and straight forward Par 4 hole.

From The Fairway The fairway is protected by on the left by large trees and on the right by a fairway bunker and more trees.

On The Green The approach to the green is open with a kowhai situated front left and a bunker middle right.

Hole 6

Hole Name Midway

From The Tee A difficult tee shot on a mid length Par 4

From The Fairway with the fairway protected on the left by a pond and the water race and on the right by a stand of large pine trees.

On The Green The fairway opens up with an unO-Bstructed approach to the green protected by a bunker right middle and swale on the back left of the green.

Hole 7

Hole Name Campus

From The Tee A long Par 5 running toward the Southern Alps.

From The Fairway The fairway is protected on the left and right by trees of varying sizes.

On The Green Approach is to a kidney shaped green sloping from back to front with a bunker located right middle. Accuracy of approach is required as steep banks protect the elevated portion of the green.

Hole Name The Bowl

From The Tee A long Par 3 running with a large gently sloping

From The Fairway

On The Green green protected by a bunker short right. This hole becomes an extreme test when played into a Nor West wind.

Hole 9

Hole Name The Drive

From The Tee A relatively long Par 4 dog leg left. Difficult tee shot with a large pine to negotiate before finding

From The Fairway the fairway protected by trees of varying sizes on the left and right and which narrows for the longer hitters.

On The Green The approach is to a large green sloping from front to back protected by two bunkers left and large grass mounds on the right and at the back.

Hole Name Ace

From The Tee A long Par 4 requiring an accurate tee shot to

From The Fairway a fairway protected by large pines trees right and difficult rough and more trees left.

On The Green The approach is over a gully to a large green protected by bunkers middle left and right of the green.

Hole 11

Hole Name Lone Pine

From The Tee A long Par 5 requiring an accurate tee shot to a narrow

From The Fairway fairway protected on the right by a large gully and on the left by undulations and a lone Kowhai.

On The Green Second shots are to a wide fairway which narrows closer to the green. The approach is to a green protected short left by a bunker and large pines and on the right by a gully which falls sharply from the greens edge.

Hole 12

Hole Name Etna

From The Tee Rated as the easiest hole on the course this short Par 3

From The Fairway is played into a receptive bowl shaped green. Approach to the green is protected by grass mounds at all sides, a large bunker at the front and a bunker middle right. Accuracy both in direction and distance is rewarded on this hole.

On The Green

Hole 13

Hole Name Hummocks

From The Tee A long Par 5 heading toward the Port Hills.

From The Fairway The tee shot is played to a wide undulating fairway which makes the second shot more challenging, The fairway is protected on both sides by scattered trees for the length of the hole.

On The Green The approach is to a large green protected on the left middle and right middle by bunkers.

Hole 14

Hole Name The Pit

From The Tee A short Par 4 dog leg right requiring accuracy and distance from the tee.

From The Fairway The fairway is flanked by large pines trees both left and right and once negotiated leaves a difficult approach to a narrow two

On The Green tiered green protected by a bunker short left a middle right and steep banks from the green edge on the second tier.

Hole 15

Hole Name Woods

From The Tee A tricky mid length Par 3 which is visually intimidating

From The Fairway with a stand of pines down the left hand side and a lone pine on the right.

On The Green The green is protected by a bunker short right and a gully that drops sharply from the right hand edge of the green.

Hole 16

Hole Name Elysium

From The Tee Driving on the final Par 5 is to a large

From The Fairway fairway that narrows for the long hitter. The fairway is flanked by a large stand of pines down the left hand side and a group of smaller trees on the right.

On The Green The second shot is to the narrowest part of the fairway protected by bunkers left and a further group of trees right. The approach to the green is tight between two bunkers on the front left and right.

Hole Name Styx

From The Tee A difficult mid length Par 4 dog leg right

From The Fairway with a deep gully running across the fairway. The fairway is protected by pine trees left and scattered trees right.

On The Green The approach is narrow between two groups of large pines to a gently sloping green protected by a bunker short left.

Hole 18

Hole Name Nirvana

From The Tee The last hole is a mid length Par 4

From The Fairway with tee shots to a wide fairway protected from the longer hitters by a fairway

On The Green bunker and gum trees on the right. The approach is to a long two tiered green protected by two bunkers left and a large bank surrounding the second tier.
