Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee A slight dogleg right, this is one of the easier holes on the course
From The Fairway Depending on your length and the tee you play, a driver is not always necessary.
On The Green The green can be a little tricky, with the slope running away from you and often times balls will release to the back fringe.
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee A great par 5. This hole is reachable with two solid shots.
From The Fairway If you can’t make it in two, your next priority is to avoid the oak tree on the left with your lay-up
On The Green Putting canbe difficult, as the green slopes deceptively from right to left.
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee A tough driving hole
From The Fairway The ideal shot is a slight fade which matches the direction of the fairway. Deep rough and a blind approach awaits the player who drives his ball in the depression left of the fairway.
On The Green If the pin is back right, a tee ball in the fairway bunker spells bogey or worse.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee A par 3, players tend to aim right.
From The Fairway Hole generally plays a little longer than yardage due to wind direction and slightly uphill terrain.
On The Green With the predominant wind left to right, many balls end up right of the green with a tough up and down, especially if the flag stick is back
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee A dogleg right with out of bounds left and rightthe ideal shot is a slight fade with enough club to carry the fairway bunker on the right.
From The Fairway This type of shot will increase your target area due to the shape of the hole. The wind is predominantly left to right, so aim your fade further left than you normally would to avoid the fairway bunker.
On The Green
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee A par 3, this hole’s difficulty is determined by the pin position.
From The Fairway If the pin is up front, the hole not only plays much shorter but the shape of the green will funnel many balls closer to the hole. If the pin is on the back tier, however, it is extremely difficult to get the ball close.
On The Green The green slopes away from the player and most balls with release into the back fringe. Anything right of the green will bounce even further right and leave you with a tough recovery.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway This hole requires a lot of thinking. A seemingly generous fairway belies the trouble lurking. Out of bounds and a fairway bunker come into play on the right, and a lateral hazards down the left side of the fairway catches a lot of balls as well. If you can hit a good drive,
On The Green however, you may be in position to go for the green. The lake will deter many from attempting to reach the green in two, but a lay up is not easy either. Club selection when laying up is vital. If in doubt, you have the option of laying up even further back to the 150 yard marker.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee One of the easier holes on the course.
From The Fairway Straight and short, two good shots will get you a birdie. If the flag is positioned in the front
On The Green you may have to land your approach short of the green in order get it close.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee A wonderful finishing hole. A long par 4 than doglegs slightly to the left.
From The Fairway . The fairway bunker on the left gets a lot of business. The ideal tee ball is a draw down the right side of the fairway which will leave a long to mid iron approach to the green.
On The Green The green features tough pin positions back left and back right. The smart play is often to the center of the green where a two-putt par is always a good score.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee One of TimberCreek’s best holes. A dogleg left par 4 which plays long from the blue or gold tees.
From The Fairway A draw off the tee will cut off some yardage and avoid the fairway bunker on the right.
On The Green The green is TimberCreek’s largest. Be sure to consult your pin position sheet – flag stick placement can make for a five club difference.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee Everything is in front of you on this straight par 4. A well struck drive which carries the 150 yard marker will roll while a shorter drive will not.
From The Fairway The fairway bunker on the left is more punishing than it appears and a tee shot to the right leaves an awkward approach.
On The Green
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee A dogleg right par 4. If you can carry the fair way bunker on the right with your tee ball, this is the play. If not, aim at the 150 yard pole.
From The Fairway
On The Green The green has a gathering swale in the middle and will reward proper club selection. Left of the green or short right in the greenside bunker make for a difficult up and down. A birdie hole.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee A slightly downhill par 3. You want to avoid both bunkers at all costs.
From The Fairway
On The Green If the pin is on the front portion of the green, the place to miss is short right. If the pin is on the back tier, this hole becomes one of TimberCreek’s toughest. The wind is often times deceptively strong from the right.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee This greenside bunker makes distance off the tee much more important because the approach becomes much easier with a short iron
From The Fairway The approach shot often plays a little longer than the yardage would indicate.
On The Green Straight away par 4 with a green well guarded by a bunker in front
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee This is a hole where birdies and eagles are plentiful. A short par 5, there are more eagles made on this hole than any other at TimberCreek.
From The Fairway The ideal drive is down the left side of the fairway, which opens up a great angle to the green.
On The Green The one place trouble lurks is right of the green, where a large bunker gathers many a ball, especially when the hole is placed back right.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee Possibly TimberCreek’s best hole
From The Fairway A longish par 4 with water coming into play down the left edge of the fairway. The best play is down the right side of the fairway, where mounds can help direct the ball back to the fairway. The longer you hit your drive,
On The Green the more the lake becomes a factor but also the easier your approach shot. The fairway slopes right to left, promoting a draw to a green which often calls for a fade. A risk reward hole.
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee A tough par 3. This hole plays into the prevailing wind and can play up to 230 yards from the back tees.
From The Fairway Hole placement determines your strategy.
On The Green If the hole is up front, you will want to get the yardage to the front of the green and hit the appropriate club. Long left or right make for a difficult up and down. If the hole is on the back tier, err on the long side.
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway If you need to make a birdie on the last hole, this par 5 gives you the opportunity
On The Green A good draw off the tee will cut off a lot of yardage and put you in a position to reach the green in two. If you cannot reach the green in two, make sure to avoid the bunker on the right, where the dreaded 40 yard sand shot awaits you.
