From The Tee The first hole of our Championship Course plays downhill, providing one of the best views of the Potomac River and stunning Maryland shore.

From The Fairway A fairway metal or hybrid into the fairway will leave a short to mid iron into the green.

On The Green Hitting your approach on the correct section of the green will present a good opportunity for a birdie.

Hole Name

From The Tee As we move towards the mighty Potomac, the wind begins to have more influence and its direction will dictate whether players can reach this par 5 in two shots.

From The Fairway Players laying up will be best served to favor the left side of the fairway,

On The Green opening up a good angle to a large sloping green. Keep your approach below the hole, as missing long will likely cost you a stroke.

Hole Name

From The Tee Hole 3, the first of several challenging par 3s, begins the toughest stretch of holes on the front nine.

From The Fairway This hole forces a carry over water into prevailing wind to a well-protected green with large bunkers on both sides. Although this hole does not yield many birdies, finding the putting surface off the tee is typically rewarded with a par.

From The Tee A good drive on hole 4 challenges the bunkers on the left,

From The Fairway providing the best angle to this green. Miss the fairway and your second shot is not likely to find the putting surface.

On The Green Short and left of the green serves as a popular bail out position to avoid the deep bunkers short and right of the green. Par is a very good score on this hole.

From The Tee This long par 4 moves gently right to left.

From The Fairway A drive down the left center of the fairway will gain a few extra yards of roll, leaving a mid-iron approach to this tricky,

On The Green well-protected green. A deep bunker and a treacherous collection area guard the left side, making short and right a popular spot for approach shots.

From The Tee Hole 6 is a tight three-shot par 5 with penal rough on the right and penalty area on the left.

From The Fairway A tee shot to the right side of the fairway provides the best angle for your second shot.

On The Green The small undulated green is protected by deep bunkers on the right and left, demanding precision with your third shot in order to set up your first birdie opportunity in a few holes.

From The Fairway but don’t lose focus on the task at hand. You must navigate the fairway bunkers off the tee to have any chance of hitting this green in regulation.

On The Green This green is traditionally firm and tough to hold. Many golfers will opt to leave their approach on the front part and two putt for par.

From The Tee One of the shortest holes on the Championship Course, but far from the easiest. With the tee hanging just off the Potomac River,

On The Green the green is a mere sliver squeezed between a deep bunker on the right, a steep slope and collection area to the back, and the Potomac River to the left. If you don’t find the correct level of this two-tiered green, a three putt is likely.

From The Tee One of the shorter par 4s on the Championship Course, Hole 10 features a

From The Fairway bunker bisecting the fairway and two different green sites. The location of the flagstick will determine which fairway you play.

On The Green An approach from the fairway is a must to either green, as they both present challenging sloping targets.

From The Tee The first of three very difficult par 4s

From The Fairway on the back nine demands a long straight tee ball avoiding the deep bunker on the right in order to have a chance of hitting this green in regulation. If you find the fairway, you are then faced with a long uphill approach with little margin for error.

On The Green Avoid the deepest bunker on the course, to the right of the green, at all costs. Par is a premium here.

From The Tee Three good shots leave you with a chance for a rare birdie on the back nine,

From The Fairway but you must navigate the lake down the entire left side, the fairway and greenside bunkers, and the multitiered and undulating green.

On The Green You must find the correct section of the green or work hard just to two-putt.

From The Fairway the fairway navigating fairway bunkers on both sides, as well as a lake on the left. Take an extra club on the approach to get your ball all the way to the hole.

On The Green Miss the green right, left, or long, and you will be faced with a challenging up and down to save your par.

On The Green difficult green complexes, and if the wind is blowing, it will feel much longer. If you don’t find the correct section of the green, you will be forced to play defense and hope for a par. If you do find the correct section of the green, you will have a great opportunity for birdie.

From The Tee The most difficult hole on the course and the last of the challenging par

From The Fairway 4s on the back nine, Hole 15 plays into the prevailing wind. Framing the tee shot is the Potomac River on the right and a well-placed, very deep fairway bunker on the left.

On The Green A tee ball on the left side provides the best angle to this large undulated green, with a false front on the right. The rough short and right collects many errant approach shots. Hit the green and stay below the hole, and you may find a well-earned birdie.

From The Fairway This is a difficult par 3 that requires your full attention. Depending on your navigation of the deep bunkers, steep slopes, and undulated green, you can make a two or a five here. A valley divides the green from front to back, making shot placement on the proper side of the green paramount to making a good score on Hole 16.

From The Tee Approach the finish with this exciting risk reward hole,

From The Fairway

On The Green reachable in two shots if you challenge the lake down the left then cut the corner of the lake over the deep greenside bunker in the front of the green. Once aboard, you are faced with a large putting surface tilted back to front with several shelves and knO-Bs to challenge every putt.

From The Tee Hole 18 is a stout par 4

From The Fairway that requires an accurate shot off the tee to stay short of the bunkers on both sides of the fairway.

On The Green The approach plays up the hill towards the water sculpture, requiring at least one full club more. Finding the correct level on this green is the key to seeing a makeable birdie putt.
