Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee The opening hole at Victoria National starts off with a moderate par 4, with only two left-side fairway bunkers guarding the opening tee shot. A straightaway with no water hazards in sight from the back tee, it’s a design you don’t see often from Fazio.

Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee As you stroll off the green from #1, set your eyes on the unique water ways of Victoria’s abandoned coal mine. The shorter second hole provides the ultimate risk/reward tee shot: play an iron off the tee into the widest fairway and land with 150+ yards remaining into a two-tiered green, or take the risk with your 3-wood or even a driver off the tee into a narrow landing area and get closer with ju

Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee The first par 5 on the course is not your typical par 5 in today’s game. Even the game’s longest hitters will turn this into a three-shot hole. With waterways down the entire left side of the hole, a solid drive is the first step to taming this beast.
From The Fairway A second shot layup must hug the left side of the fairway to have a chance at seeing the flag stick for your third shot.
On The Green A good layout will leave you a tricky pitch shot across the dogleg into the green. Birdies are very rare on this par 5.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee Tom Fazio hasn’t beat you down to death with the length just yet. Hole 4 provides yet another risk/reward tee shot for this shorter-than-average par 4. A solid tee ball in the fairway is key to holding your second shot on this narrow, two-tiered green.
From The Fairway
On The Green A large, deep bunker guards the front-right side of the green. Some of the most difficult rough on the course can be found just over this green, so your wedge game better be on point if you want to score on the outward nine.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee From the back tee this hole stretches to just over 200 yards, and the landing area seems almost impossible to hit.
From The Fairway
On The Green The first par 3 on the course is truly one of finest ever crafted. Nearly an island, the green sits nestled into the open waterways of this old strip mine.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee The top handicap hole shows its teeth right off the tee, and this lengthy par 4 will challenge all aspects of your game. A tee ball in the fairway will still leave you with a moderate-to-longer second shot into this very large three-tiered green.
From The Fairway
On The Green Be very careful what level you aim for. A three-putt or more is very common on this difficult green.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee The second of four par 3s provides a challenge even in the absence of water.
From The Fairway
On The Green The green is carved between two large mounts of thick native grass, with a green-side bunker on the left.
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee The par 4 eighth provides an excellent opportunity to regain a stroke that may have been lost early in the round. Off the tee, a fairway bunker on the right side is the only thing stopping a birdie.
From The Fairway With some hidden fairway room on the left side, a player is left with no more than 150 yards into a generous green complex.
On The Green A severe false-front will throw back any weak shots that don’t have enough distance to carry to the main level.
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee Two back-to-back par 5s end the front nine. Hole 9 provides a wide fairway for players looking to get home in two. A strong tee ball will crest the top of the hill in the middle of the fairway and get some additional roll down the other side, and a split fairway makes you decide which route to take into this green.
From The Fairway
On The Green But watch out: the green edges out into the open water, so any shots long or too far to the right will find the water.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee The tenth is another reachable par 5 for longer players. A slight right-to-left hole shape fits the eye of classic draw off the tee.
From The Fairway
On The Green The green is guarded by a green-side bunker on the right, and an even-more-challenging ledge on the left. A ball that falls off the left side of the green will nestle into some thick rough, falling ten feet below the surface of the green.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee The par 3 eleventh is picturesque. From tee to green, the carry is all over water into a decently sized green. A closely mown collection area on the right side of the green is very popular spot if you’d prefer to avoid water at all costs.

Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee After a few tougher holes, Fazio conveniently provides two chances for an easy birdie or two before entering the Gauntlet: holes 14-18.
From The Fairway The par 4 twelfth beckons you to use your favorite club—any club—to avoid the water at left.
On The Green A back-to-front tilted green allows for tight wedge shots and birdie chances.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee The par 4 thirteenth is the last spot to catch your breath.
From The Fairway
On The Green A solid tee ball will leave you with fewer than a hundred yards to a very accessible green, and a closely mown area right of the green is the bailout location for anyone that may have a tough lie in the rough for their second shot.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee The fourteenth is the number-two handicap hole, offering the toughest tee shot on the course. You’ll need to hit enough club to have the best chance of getting to the green in two, but the fairway off the tee is very narrow.
From The Fairway
On The Green Your second shot is into an elevated green with no room to miss long, left, or right. Many players are happy to leave the fourteenth with a bogey.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee The final par 5 on the course is no guaranteed birdie for even the best players. Another very narrow tee shot is required to even give yourself a chance to reach the green in regulation. With a decent tee ball, you have a very tough decision to make: take the chance and go for the green in two all over water, or find the perfect layup distance and put the pressure on your wedge game
From The Fairway
On The Green The green is guarded by water in the front and a deep green side bunker on the left. Leaving this hole with a four is sure an accomplishment.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee The famous sixteenth hole at Victoria National is tough golf. You sit high above the green on an elevated tee box, making the green look even smaller from 200+ yards. Fazio has yet again set this green seemingly in an impossible place, with deep waterways on the left and right of the green and a small stream in the front of approach. This is one of the toughest par 3s in the country!

Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee Depending on the wind, the seventeenth hole can play more like another par 5 than a par 4. On the tee, you’ll need to decide how to tackle the dogleg right corner, but beware that a tee ball pushed too far to the right will result in a retee with the ball in the water.
From The Fairway
On The Green From the fairway, your second shot into the green is as tough as they come at Victoria National: a multi-tiered green with huge false fronts guard any shot from getting close.
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee The unmatched eighteenth hole at Victoria National saves the most difficult tee shot for last. On the tee, the fairway looks like a thin sliver of land compared to vast openness of the dark blue waterways ahead of you.
From The Fairway All you can do is trust yourself to make a good swing and find land. The second shot is equally as intimidating, with the deep bunker guards on the left, and open water all the way up the right side.
On The Green Even a well-struck ball that lands on the right side of the green will feed off the right side and find water. Only the most calm and seasoned players can keep it together for eighteen holes at Victoria National. This Tom Fazio Signature design is sure to test all skill levels and patience.
