Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee Although this hole has one of the widest and straightest fairways, it plays as one of the hardest holes on the back nine – uphill nearly 40 feet from tee to green. Play a club or two extra for your approach shot and if you happen to still be short or miss the green … good luck, as the green slopes severely from back to front.

Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee Plays like a boomerang to the left heading toward the Pacific Ocean – and not the fifth green that you see in the distance. Avoid the fairway bunkers and be careful with club selection into the green. Usually plays into a headwind, so use more club, but go over the green and your ball might roll to the surf.

Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee Get distracted by the ocean and you will find yourself visiting the beach. Layup between the numerous fairway bunkers, or get aggressive and try and rip one on the green. Be careful; the Hole 4 tee box is located adjacent to the green and in the line of flight. Check the wind, as picking the correct yardage, club and ball flight is a must if you wa

Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee This well bunkered green is broken up into three segments. Try and not to short-side yourself, because getting up-and-down for par is tough. This hole can play up to two clubs shorter with the afternoon ocean breeze. OB is long and right.

Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee Go right and find water. Go left you might find yourself hitting down a severe slope or depending on the pin position being blocked out of a direct shot. The ball wants to hit the green and run to the back right corner. A par here is a good score. Make sure to order your food from the tee-box (call 949-248-3002, ask to be transferred to the Monarch

Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee This slight dog leg right hole usually plays down wind. Be careful of the hazard to the left of the fairway and the 9th fairway on the right above the split rail fairway. The green is cut into two halves and being on the right tier would allow for a much easier putt.

Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee One of the longest par fives in Orange County. But it plays shorter than advertised with the prevailing wind. Only a good golfer should try and either hit reach in two or utilize the second fairway on the left. Otherwise a safer 3-wood off the tee and an iron layup is recommended. The hazard to the right of the green is a far worse option than the

Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee Although this isn’t the longest hole, this might be our toughest. This tighter fairway is well bunkered and you might not find your drive if you hit it too far right or left. The green sits a few yards above the fairway and usually you hitting directly into the prevailing wind. Most days using one or two extra clubs here is a good call.

Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee One of the best holes on the front nine. This par 5 for the longer, more aggressive hitter is reachable in two. Avoid the two larger fairway guarding bunkers and you can give it a rip. The prevailing wind will also play tricks with you and try and push your ball to the left.

Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee Missing right is a big mistake, as there is plenty of room to the left. If you hit a good drive you can get aggressive and try and hit a close second shot on this well-bunkered green. The green has three distinct areas and being in the right one can lead to easier putt and better score.

Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee This hole hooks severely to the left at around 150 yards to the green. A good drive in the fairway will give you the option of laying up safely, or aggressively going for the green in the two. Be careful to avoid the OB/homes on the left as they are closer than they appear. The prevailing wind might push your ball toward a field of ice plant left of the fairway bunker, around 100 yards short of th

Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee This dogleg left (that green in the distance is the green for hole 15) requires an accurate drive. Not a hole to get too aggressive with off of the tee. Once you find the fairway remember you most likely will be hitting your approach shot into the prevailing wind. It appears downhill and possibly shorter than the yardage, but if you leave your approach short you might just plug in one of the sever

Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee Tough to hit it close. If the pin is left, that tier is very narrow. The right side of the green brings the lake into play. The easiest pin is the middle, short of the top tier. Wind normally blows the ball from right to left. If it’s breezy, the hole can play a club or two shorter.

Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee All about positioning. A slight dogleg right and there is more room that way. To ensure a par, avoid the fairway bunkers. The green plenty big, but again if you are not on the correct tier or the right side, getting up-and-down or two putting is tougher than you think.

Hole 17

Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee Interior O-B is left of the path. Avoid O-B and the fairway bunkers and you might have a clear shot to the pin. Long hitters can hit driver, but be aware that the fairway left over those fairways bunkers slope severely to a lake. The green is shaped like Texas and slopes from back to front. The lake is like magnet for golf balls, so be safe and hit an extra club.
