Hole Name
From The Tee This seemingly friendly opener downhill and often downwind — is more challenging than it appears.
From The Fairway A wayward tee shot is likely to find tree trouble on either side. Length off the tee is often rewarded with a flat lie and a much shorter approach thanks to the down slope.
On The Green The mid-sized green can be tricky to hold and is protected by two large bunkers right and a collection area left.

Hole Name
From The Tee For most, this hole plays the longest of any at Whitevale, particularly with a north wind.
From The Fairway That said, long hitters can sneak their tee shot past the first fairway bunker and have a go at the green in two.
On The Green For the rest of us, favouring the left side all the way is the smart play.

Hole Name
From The Tee Every great course should have a challenging short par 4.
From The Fairway Whitevale has two of them, and this is the first. A tee shot that carries the gorge and bunker can leave an approach inside 100 yards, but don't miss left or you're in for an exhausting ball search.
On The Green The tricky green is as difficult to hold as it is to putt and is guarded by trouble on either side.

Hole Name
From The Tee What a view! Whitevale's signature hole is one of the most breathtaking holes in Southern Ontario.
From The Fairway For a par 3, it's also a fantastic risk/reward hole. Strategy will dictate club selection.
On The Green The green is on a 45-degree angle so a purposeful shot to the right generally requires two more clubs than a bailout left.

Hole Name
From The Tee Although there's ample room right, out-of-bounds down the entire left side is more in play than you might think.
From The Fairway This is the first of several par 4's at Whitevale where the further your drive, the more the fairway narrows.
On The Green But no matter how long your drive, your approach will be partially blind with the green tucked 20 feet below the fairway. The 40-foot-high birdhouse is your target.

Hole Name
From The Tee Nothing blind about this classic par 4. On the tee, consider pin position from the left fairway a left pin can be blocked out by the venerable tree canopy.
From The Fairway Subtract about 160 from your tee yardage and that's all it takes to reach the pond on the right.
On The Green The large two-tiered green will reward you for hitting the proper side with your approach.

From The Tee
From The Fairway Another fantastic view, particularly from the tips. Long drivers who take on the imposing fairway bunker can easily reach this par 5 in two.
On The Green If you're laying up, note the pin position to afford yourself the best angle for your wedge in. One of the few flat(ish) greens at Whitevale birdie time!

From The Tee One of our best, and toughest, par 4s. Lots to think about here.
From The Fairway A well-placed drive is essential, but your line off the tee depends on how far you intend to hit it. The further your tee shot, the narrower the fairway.
On The Green Prudence off the tee translates to a more difficult approach to a narrow, elevated green.

Hole Name
From The Tee Toughest par 3 at Whitevale (and some say the toughest par... period). From all five tee blocks the hole plays longer than its yardage, even if there's no wind in your face.
From The Fairway
On The Green Ominous bunkers gobble almost every shot that comes up short. If you're going to miss the green (and most do) it's generally better to miss right.

Hole Name
From The Tee The first of four holes on the back 9 where the entire hole is visible from the tee.
From The Fairway Again, there are strategic options: long down the right side provides a shorter approach, but short of the fairway bunker gives you a much nicer view of the green for your second shot.
On The Green The large undulating green calls for imagination on chips and putts.

Hole Name
From The Tee A unique golf hole, the 11th flows downhill hugging the edge of the gorge on the right, then makes a dramatic left turn uphill to a large, well-bunkered green.
From The Fairway This may be your most important tee shot of the day. Hit a good one and you're likely to funnel down to the 100-yard marker.
On The Green

Hole Name
From The Tee The shortest and perhaps most beautiful hole on the course.
From The Fairway While there's lots of trouble down there, including the rippling waters of Duffins Creek, focus instead on the opportunity—this hole yields the most holes-in-one every season.
On The Green A massive green with significant undulation will test your lag putting.

Hole Name
From The Tee Your beautiful journey along (and over) Duffins Creek continues on a great, short par 4.
From The Fairway From the tee, the creek should be the least of your worries as dense forest guards both sides of a fairway that narrows significantly the further your tee shot goes.
On The Green One bunker on this hole, but it's a doozy and to be avoided.

Hole Name
From The Tee A completely different par 3 but just as challenging.
From The Fairway Club selection can be difficult from the sheltered tee deck and will vary considerably depending on the colour of the flag (blue is back, white is middle, yellow is front).
On The Green Lots of humps to navigate on this massive green, but the predominant slope is back right to front left.

Hole Name
From The Tee This difficult par 4 starts an exhilarating home stretch that is long and mostly uphill, yet not without opportunity for good scoring.
From The Fairway The 15th presents perhaps the toughest tee shot of the day. Steer clear of the large penal fairway bunker that will swallow even a modest leak to the right.
On The Green Be sure to account for the wind on your approach, even if you can't feel it.

Hole Name
From The Tee Whitevale's shortest par 5 winds uphill around the deepest bunkers on the course.
From The Fairway Once again, there are decisions to make from the tee. Taking on the cavernous fairway bunkers can be a two-shot swing, depending on the result.
On The Green Another yawning trap at the 100-yard marker ensures that even layup shots are not boring.

Hole Name
From The Tee The second of back-to-back par 5s, but this one plays completely differently. Downhill all the way with plenty of room to grip it and rip it.
From The Fairway Life gets more stressful on the approach with a beautiful pond surrounded by a closely mown slope. Most layups will run hard to the right bringing the pond in to play on your approach.
On The Green

Hole Name
From The Tee A fantastic finishing hole, unless you need a birdie. Our home hole is uphill all the way, affording an unabated view for those on the Clubhouse patio.
From The Fairway
On The Green The lone fairway bunker is one of the most treacherous on the golf course. Take note of the pin position as this is one of the deepest greens at Whitevale.
