From The Tee Now the Woll Burn comes into play. This hole is a tricky dogleg.
From The Fairway
On The Green Most golfers think it looks innocent enough but is deceptive. (A burn is the Scottish word for a stream) New for 2008 sees a green side bunker which will catch any shot heading short left.
From The Tee Playing from an elevated tee this par five requires an accurate tee shot to avoid the well placed pond on the right side and the out of bounds all the way up the left side.
From The Tee A short par 4 with out of bounds all the way down the left side. Tee shot needs to be accurate to avoid the two mounds down the right side.
From The Fairway
On The Green The elevated green can prove very tricky as any shot failing to reach the green will end up leaving a spectacular up and down to save par.
From The Tee Priority on this par 4 is to find the fairway with your drive.
From The Fairway
On The Green The second shot into a two-tier green slopes from front to back and requires golfers to land the ball short of the green and let it run on. Anyone over shooting the green will have a very difficult shot up a steep slope.
From The Fairway The fairway slopes left to right so it’s advised to aim your tee shot left of the kidney shaped
On The Green green and let the ball follow the slope onto the long green. Any shot right of the green will leave a very tricky up and down to save par.
From The Tee A tough hole that plays a lot longer than it measures.
From The Fairway
On The Green If your tee shot fails to get over the rise it will leave you with a blind second shot to a green with a steep banking over the back. The Drystane dyke runs the full length of the hole up the right hand side, this is not however out of bounds.
From The Fairway With a blind tee shot over a rise to a fairway that slopes left to right makes this hole an interesting proposition.
On The Green Players who can draw their tee shots will be best suited to this hole. Your second shot will be from a down hill lie to a large green guarded by a bunker front right. This green is one of the toughest on the course with many swings and undulations. Players walking off with a par will feel very happy.
From The Tee A lovely down hill par 3 to a narrow green only 14 yards wide but almost 40 yards long. The pin position will determine club selection for a short iron up to a mid iron.

From The Tee A big dogleg and you are now facing back down the Ale valley (no this is not some golfers dream!) and toward the Village but first you have to circumnavigate the hill (luckily you don’t have to climb it).
From The Fairway The Bishops Drive, named after the Bishop of Glasgow whose Palace once overlooked the Fairway.
On The Green The hole requires an accurate tee shot up the left of the fairway (beware out of bounds up the right hand side) with a dog leg to the green. Mature trees line the fairway and the green is protected by a Majestic tree and a strategic bunker.
From The Fairway A large sweeping fairway takes you from the highest point of the course down towards the village with a beautiful view down the valley to the Church.
From The Fairway With a Pond running the length of the right side of the fairway and a mature tree protecting the left side, there is plenty to test even the most experienced golfer.
