Hole Name
From The Tee The opening tee shot on the Woodhill Country Club course is a challenging start to your round of golf. The hole is designed with numerous obstacles penalizing wayward shots, as intended by course designer Peter Matkovich.
From The Fairway The majority of Golfers will play a 3 wood off the tee, ideally ending short of the bunker placed on the left-hand side of the fairway, making it easy for the player to approach the 2-tier green.
On The Green Keep an eye out for the 2 large bunkers guarding the front side of the green and the 1 large bunker on the far-left side.

Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee The second hole is the most difficult par three on the course, even though it poses no apparent danger. Golfers can expect an average distance of 190 meters from the white tee and can use a long Iron or Hybrid club to reach the large green.
From The Fairway
On The Green The green is slightly elevated with no dramatic slopes and looks deceptively smaller than what it is.

Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee The hole starts with a challenging tee shot and is ranked the longest par 5 on the course, best played with a driver of the tee.
From The Fairway Stay clear of the two bunkers positioned to the right of the fairway. Long hitters will have a chance of reaching the green in two shots, while shorter hitters will have to play a lay-up shot towards a dogleg area situated 100m short of the green.
On The Green From this angle, the player will then have a clear shot to attack the green. Be aware when approaching the pin as the green is slightly raised, with a larger slope.

Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee This is one of the first risk and reward holes. Best played with a driver of the tee, allowing the player to possibly reach the green in regulation.
From The Fairway Long hitters can attempt a tiger line over the bunker, while shorter hitters will have to play conservatively towards the fairly large portion of the fairway, approximately 255 meters from the tee.
On The Green Keep an eye out for the largest waste bunker on the course which is situated to the left-hand side of this fairway – you cannot miss it on your way to the green.

Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee This par 5 is one of the more scenic holes and will excite all players. The fairway features a generous landing area and is best played with a driver or three wood off the tee.
From The Fairway The second shot will require accuracy, most players will need to lay up to an area recorded as the narrowest fairway on the course.
On The Green This specific spot is 150m out and will provide the player with an open approach shot to the green.

Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee The hole has an elevation drop of 40m and is best played with a hybrid or long irons off the tee. If played correctly the player will gain distance through a downhill roll and end up short of the fairway bunker situated 280 meters from the tee.
From The Fairway Be sure to correctly calculate the distance to the green as the downhill shortens the approach shot distance by 10 meters.
On The Green Stay clear of the two greenside bunkers protecting the front and middle portion of the green.

Hole Name
From The Tee This special par-three holds its own unique challenges and its layout affects players mentally.
From The Fairway Par three features two dramatic mounds right and left situated 25m short of the green. From a player’s point of view, the green appears smaller than it really is.
On The Green The green features no dramatic slopes but be careful to not over club as there is a steep drop at the back of the green.

From The Tee Be sure to take in the scenic views from the 8th tee. The tee box is slightly elevated above the fairway and the fairway itself has a strong right to left dogleg.
From The Fairway The majority of golfers will play a 3 wood off the tee, ideally ending short of the two fairway bunkers.
On The Green From this point, 150m out the player will be in a safe position to attack the 2-tier green. The approach shot is best played to the left portion of the green. Be careful as the right-hand side of the green features a steep drop.

Hole Name
From The Tee The 9th hole is well known as the second shortest par 4 on the course. This hole is best played with a hybrid or 3 wood off the tee. Watch out for the water hazard along the right-hand side.
From The Fairway Be cautious on your approach shot as the largest greenside bunker on the course is situated to the right of the green.
On The Green Players can attempt to attack the pin as the green features no dramatic slopes.

Hole Name
From The Tee Hole number 10 on Woodhill Country Club is known as the hole with the widest fairway on the golf course and comes in at stroke 8 for men and stroke 8 for ladies.
From The Fairway This hole is very well designed and is best played with a straight shot of the tee. The fairway is well protected by numerous trees as well as three large fairway bunkers.
On The Green This hole has a steep incline from tee-box to Green. Due to this rise, the player almost never sees the pin location which makes it rather difficult to get the second shot close to the hole.

Hole Name
From The Tee Hole number eleven at Woodhill Country Club is rated as stroke 18 for men and stroke 16 for ladies. This hole design is a sweeping left to right and is best played with a slight cut off the tee-box. Longer hitters can attempt the tiger line over the mounts to the right of the hole.
From The Fairway The fairway is protected by two fairway bunkers, + – 80m short of the green collecting 2nd & 3rd shots. The green is protected by three well-placed greenside bunkers covering a large portion of the outer brim of the green.
On The Green The green is designed with a steep incline from front to back. The top Plato of the green provides elite pin positions and can play very difficult into the wind.

Hole Name
From The Tee The twelfth hole is known as the signature Hole here at Woodhill Country Club. This hole is rated as stroke 12 for both men and ladies.
From The Fairway After taking in the beautiful view the players are confronted by a rather difficult hole. The Tee-box is slightly raised in relation to the green providing difficult club selection.
On The Green The green is protected by a water hazard short of the green collecting any miss-hit shots. The green is also protected by two greenside bunkers left and right of the green.

Hole Name
From The Tee Hole thirteen is stroke 2 for men and stroke 4 for ladies and comes in at a total of 362 meters. The hole design is uphill running from the lowest part tee-box to the highest part green.
From The Fairway The hole features no fairway bunkers but is well protected by trees both left and right of the fairway collecting wayward tee-shots. The green is protected by one large greenside bunker, collecting shots missed towards the left of the green.
On The Green The green is wonderfully designed featuring numerous dramatic slopes as well as funnel areas collecting shots missed to the right of the green.

Hole Name
From The Tee Hole fourteen is rated as stroke 6 for men and ladies. It is one of the scenic Holes on Woodhill where we can still find traces of the old farm that this wonderful course was built on. Strange to think that this was once a dairy farm.
From The Fairway The fourteenth hole is a slightly narrower hole with the out-of-bounce stakes tight along the right-hand side.
On The Green The hole has two fairway bunkers positioned to the right of the fairway, collecting tee-shots moving left to right. The green is designed in a three-leave clover shape and provides very difficult pin positioning.

Hole Name
From The Tee Hole number fifteen is rated as stroke 16 for men and stroke 18 for ladies. The fifteenth Hole is seen as one of the risks and reward holes on Woodhill Country Club.
From The Fairway With a distance of only 309m from the white markers, we can understand why this hole is so tempting to attack. The fairway is very well-designed sloping towards the body of water awaiting any shots moving left to right.
On The Green The best club selection off this tee will be with a mid to long iron. By doing this, the player will avoid not only the tight out-of-bounce line that runs on both sides of the hole but set themselves up for a short approach shot to the green. Playing safe would be a professional recommendation.

Hole Name
From The Tee The Sixteenth hole at Woodhill Country Club is rated the 3rd most difficult par three on the golf course, coming in at stroke 14 for both men and ladies.
From The Fairway This hole is protected by a water hazard running the length of the hole, moving closer to the green as the hole progresses.
On The Green The green is also protected by a well place greenside bunker designed to test the player’s ability if ending up in this bunker.

Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee Hole # 17 at Woodhill Country Club is one of the trickier par 5’s on the golf course featuring several hazards the player needs to pass before reaching the green.
From The Fairway Hole # 17 features a snake-like fairway as the hole progresses. The fairway is protected by two well-placed fairway bunkers, a water hazard running the length of the hole as well a high tree line following the hazard.
On The Green Hole # 17 features a difficult raised green and is protected by two greenside bunkers towards the left of the green as well as a water hazard also placed towards the left of the green.

Hole Name
From The Tee The eighteenth hole at Woodhill Country Club is most definitely a spectacular finish to a superb round of golf. The hole stretches a length of 390 m from the white markers and holds several challenges. Well-placed trees from the center of the hole moving off to the right provide tough second shots.
From The Fairway Water running the length of the hole along the left makes this hole difficult from the tee shot through to second and third shot attempts towards the green.
On The Green The green is well protected by three greenside bunkers protecting the front to the middle portion of the green. The green is also well protected by a penalty zone to the left of the green collecting any shots pulled or pushed to the left.
