Hole 1
Hole Name
From The Tee A relatively easy par 4 (340 m off the back tee), with slight dogleg from left to right and guarded by bunkers front right and back left.
From The Fairway Your best approach is from the left side of the fairway.
On The Green
Hole 2
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A narrow fairway with a Karoo bush-covered hill on the right and more bush on the left leads to an elevated and heavily slanted green 354 meters from the back tee.
On The Green With the northwester up, it becomes a real challenge to the player and a deep pot bunker in front doesn’t make matters any easier on this par 4!
Hole 3
Hole Name
From The Tee A short, but deceptively tricky par 4 at only 331 meters from the elevated back tee. Karoo bush left and right makes accuracy off the tee a priority on this slightly zigzagging hole.
From The Fairway
On The Green The green has two levels with the higher level at the back and right side, while bunkers left, right back and front right lie in wait for an errant second shot.
Hole 4
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway At 430 meters of the elevated back tee this is the longest par 4 on the course. The downhill fairway doglegs from right to left and is flanked by Karoo bush all the way to the green.
On The Green The green features a mound on the right with bunkers left front and left back.
Hole 5
Hole Name
From The Tee At 465 meters off the back tee, this par 5 challenges the long hitter to cut the corner to the right, making the green easily reachable in 2.
From The Fairway A more conventional line away from the Karoo bush may see your ball finish in a deep fairway bunker some 235 meters out left of the fairway.
On The Green The green itself is guarded by a pond left and bunkers front right and centre right.
Hole 6
Hole Name
From The Tee Playing 320 meters off the back tee, the line of play and hazards on this par 4 are not clearly visible, but the player who decides to lay up is guided by a black-and-white pole in the fairway about 180 meters away.
From The Fairway The fairway slopes from left to right and is flanked by Karoo bush right and water left right up to the green. A creek bisecting the fairway forces all but the very long hitters to lay up.
On The Green The green has water on the left and behind it with a bunker front right.
Hole 7
Hole Name
From The Tee The first short hole, playing at 158 meters from the back tee. With the tee on the dam wall, and a carry over water all the way to a green with water left right and front of it, there is no escape here.
From The Fairway
On The Green You can either hit the green or play strong and chip back, although faced with a putt on a green that slopes towards the water can be nerve-wrecking!
Hole 8
Hole Name
From The Tee At 480 meters from the back tee this is the longest par 5 on the course. Play demands an accurate tee shot as a dam on the left of the landing area and trees flanking the right side can get you in trouble.
From The Fairway There are numerous humps and hollows in the fairway, while the elevated green is well protected by bunkers short and left.
On The Green
Hole 9
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway
On The Green A par 3 measuring 135 meters off the back tee, sharing a huge double green with the 18th hole. A straightforward hole with bunkers left and right of the green, yet, wind can make club selection difficult.
Hole 10
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway From the back tee (381 meters) a demanding tee shot over a ditch (can be avoided by the shorter hitter by bailing out to the 18th fairway) and dense Karoo bush all along the left side.
On The Green A rocky outcrop juts into the fairway 90 metres from a green that is built into a mound and with a single bunker to the left.
Hole 11
Hole Name
From The Tee At 407 meters off the back tee, the second longest par 4. Requires an accurate drive since the out-of-bounds runs all the way from tee to green on the left.
From The Fairway
On The Green The green itself has a severe slope from back to front and is protected by bunkers on both sides.
Hole 12
Hole Name
From The Tee 12. A short par 4, measuring only 283 from the back tee. The green is drivable for long hitters, but a water course and creek short of the green may come into play.
From The Fairway Two fairway bunkers, visible from the tee, calls for an accurate tee shot.
On The Green The green itself has water to the front and left, while bunkers left and right give it further protection. When the northwester is up, even the long hitters will think twice before going for the green off the tee.
Hole 13
Hole Name
From The Tee In windless conditions, this par 4 of 352 meters off the back tee holds almost no peril for the player, provided he avoids the Karoo bush flanking the entire fairway on both sides.
From The Fairway With the northwester up, it becomes a completely different story and the hole more than warrants its stroke 2 rating.
On The Green Add a green surrounded by mounds and a treacherous hump in the middle, and it can be a real nightmare.
Hole 14
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway
On The Green A straighforward par 3, wih a large mound and bunker left of the green. Heavy bush behind the green makes over-clubbing fatal.
Hole 15
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A tough par 4. It is essential to hit the fairway, (believed to be an old gold mine) and heavy scrub on the right will punish stray shots severely.
On The Green The green’s undulating surface is difficult to read.
Hole 16
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway A par 5 reachable in two by better players. Fairway bunkers on the left of the fairway in the landing area should be avoided.
On The Green A dam short of the green will swallow any short approach. It is better to lay up unless you have hit a very good drive. The green has bunkers front and back right.
Hole 17
Hole Name
From The Tee
From The Fairway
On The Green A tough par 3, played over a valley and watercourse to a green surrounded by mounds and bunkers, the surface of which is only partially visible from the tee.
Hole 18
Hole Name
From The Tee Reachable in two by stronger players. The righthand side of the fairway is favoured for more run, and to avoid a deep depression on the left.
From The Fairway A watercourse crossing the fairway should be carried with the second shot.
On The Green The green is large (double with no.9) and players should ascertain pin placement in advance. There are bunkers to the right of the green.
