Hole 1
Hole Name The Bridge
From The Tee This down hill dog-leg par 4 is a tricky opening hole demanding accuracy off the tee. Out of bounds all down the right hand side and trees protecting the left side adds to the difficulty of the tee shot. The corner of the dog-leg is protected by a series of bunkers. The approach to an undulating green is protected to the left by water and to back by a bunker so good club selection and a confid

Hole 2
Hole Name Estuary
From The Tee
From The Fairway An uphill par 4 that plays into the prevailing wind. With bunkers protecting the right side of the fairway and trees on the left a straight drive is required. The green is divided into two distinct sections by a ridge running across the middle. The approach must find the correct section of the green if two putts are to be achieved.

Hole 3
Hole Name Sheep Dip
From The Tee Club selection on this par 3 is all important. The hole is lined by apple trees on the right and tall pine trees on the left. The green is protected on both sides by bunkers and at the back by a stream. The two tiered green is difficult to read with subtle breaks on each level. A par here is a good score.

Hole 4
Hole Name Little Black Ditch
From The Tee
From The Fairway Out of bounds all the way down the right and the orchard on the left make this narrow fairway a difficult target from the tee, particularly from the white stakes. From there the approach shot is to a green surrounded by 6 pot bunkers and made all the more difficult by a subtle dip in front of the green which gathers a ball hit short. Out of bounds also lurks at the back of the green.

Hole 5
Hole Name Big Black Ditch
From The Tee
From The Fairway par 5 with out of bounds lining the right side of the fairway and fir trees to the left. An uphill drive needs to be kept left of the fairway bunkers. The hole turns a little to the right for the second shot. A set of bunkers on the left edge of the fairway force the second shot towards the out of bounds. The approach is to a slightly raised, undulating green with bunkers on both sides and ou

Hole 6
Hole Name Nethercross
From The Tee
From The Fairway A testing par 4 which dog-legs to the right. A group of bunkers located on the right side of the fairway forces the tee shot to the left. The approach is to a “7” shaped green which runs away from the player at the back. A bunker to the front left of the green forces the approach shot to the right, which makes putting all the more difficult. A large bunker at the back of the green guards again

Hole 7
Hole Name Quarry West
From The Tee
From The Fairway A stylish par 3 that looks far easier than it plays. The fairway sweeps down to the stream and back up to a wide but shallow green with a false front that traps any poorly stuck shots. Depending on the pin position anything hit long presents one of the most difficult chip shots on the course

Hole 9
Hole Name Orchard
From The Tee
From The Fairway This par 5 demands accuracy off the tee to avoid the apple trees that border both sides of the fairway. The second shot is over a lake to a fairway lined both sides by trees. The green is divided into two distinct sections by a large ridge running across the middle. A very difficult green to get close to the hole.

Hole 10
Hole Name Ballisk
From The Tee A long, difficult start to the back nine. This par 4 measures 428 yards and plays up hill to an undulating green. From the back stakes the green is only reachable in two by the big hitters. The green has two levels with the left side raised above the right. Anything missing the green will be punished by hedgerows and spinney’s on both sides.

Hole 11
Hole Name Upper Asylum
From The Tee The longest of the par three’s, the green is invitingly large. However a deep depression which runs through the green effectively cuts the green in two and places a premium on accuracy off the tee. Three puts will be commonplace on this large and difficult green. Windy conditions in this most exposed part of the course will again make club selection difficult.

Hole 12
Hole Name Lower Asylum
From The Tee
From The Fairway A picturesque par 4 that must be treated with care and approached from the fairway. A tee shot missing the fairway will leave a difficult shot through the gap in the tall trees protecting the green and risks ending up in the stream that wends its way across the front of the green. The narrow tiered green is surrounded on three sides by apple trees and in front by a large bunker.

Hole 13
Hole Name Rough Park
From The Tee A par 5 that requires a good tee shot to the left of the fairway bunkers. The entire length of the hole is protected on both sides by trees putting an emphasis on accuracy. The hole features a small green with a crown in the middle which requires good club selection on the approach if three puts are to be avoided.

Hole 14
Hole Name Well
From The Tee The index 5 hole, this 415 yard dogleg par 4 over water is certainly one of the most difficult holes on the course. A tall ash tree protects the right hand side of the fairway and only a well struck drive will allow you to play for the green with your second shot. The green is well protected in front by a stream and bunkers to the front and right. Par is also protected by the orchard that surro

Hole 15
Hole Name Bog South
From The Tee
From The Fairway Regarded as the toughest of the par 5’s, the hole is made all the more difficult by strategically placed bunkers to the right of the fairway and trees to the left. A snake drain wends its way along the right side of the fairway while lakes to the left side make accuracy a premium on the second shot. A lay-up to the right side of the fairway will leave a good angle to approach the green. A ridge

Hole 16
Hole Name Bog North
From The Tee If you haven’t made you score by now you’re unlikely to pick up shots on the closing holes. With a lake on the left, out of bounds and a lateral water hazard on the right, players will be happy to find the tight landing area off the tee. Then comes a mid iron to a green with severe undulations where anything played long will almost certainly run of the back or to the sides leaving an extremely d

Hole 17
Hole Name Gillerainnes
From The Tee Arguably the signature hole, this difficult par 3 has ruined many a good score. At 174 yards, it demands a perfect tee shot over water to a green protected by a bunker and out of bounds at the left and back. The right side of the green is protected by tall trees and a stream. If you find solid ground you will need your wits about you to score on a deceptive green which has a series of subtle

Hole 18
Hole Name Quarry East
From The Tee At 448 yards this par 4 is definitely for the big hitters. Only a good drive will reach the crest of the hill. Out of bounds on the right and strategically placed mounds on the left will catch the wayward drive. A well struck long iron, rescue or wood is needed to reach the green. Bunkers guard the right of the green and missing left will leave a tricky chip. A multi level green will test
